Abstract: The deep mixing method has been widely applied to reinforce the soft grounds for many kinds of project in Viet Nam. The designs of this method are usually referred to some foreign standards.
However, there are some existing problems of the calculation. This paper analyses the method of settlement calculation, and proposes the change of soil-cement columns length to reinforce the soft grounds under embankments.
