SUMMARY
RESEARCH ON WORKER CONDITIONS AND THE ENVIROMENTAL FACTORS THAT CAUSE MENTAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS OF THE EMPLOYEES ON WATERWAY VEHICLES.PROPOSED PREVENTIVE SOLUTION
The research results of the project have assessed the wori<ing conditions and environmeri, health and psychologieal stress of wori^ers on waterway vehides.
There are 60 percent of temperature samples, 26.6 percent of velocity samf^es, 40 percent of noise samples 20 percent c^ vibration samples exceeding allowed standards. The woi1(ers work in special conditions on numerous rivers, constrained space, abnormal small social enwmnment, boring job, monotonie, mental privation, cultural activities easy to cause mental and psychological stress. Odonto- Stomatology disease accounts for 41.9%; eyes disease accounts for 40.9%; Circulatory disease accounts tor 21.3%; Gastmintestinal disease accounts for 20.9%,; Urinary tract and genital diseases accounted for 11.3%,. There am many /acto/s that affect the mental stress, the psychology of wori<ers:
fear for their life (72,2%). fear of fire (72.2%,). harsh wori<ing environment (64.9%). feeling lonely (50.3%,).
feeling separated (35,8%,). worried about the economic burden (43%). The percentage of wori<ers on watenvay vehicles exhibited of nervous tension in average level of 38.4%>-45.7%>; very tense 19.2%,-22 5% and excessive stress 1.3%,-2.0%.
The authors have proposed some measures to prevent occupational diseases, worif-reiated diseases and psychologieal sti^ss of workers on waterway vehicles.
