SUMMARY
CASE REPORT HUMAN REMAINS IDENTIFICATION BASED ON FORENSIC ANTHROPOLOGICAL METHOD AND MITOCHONDRIAL DNA ANALYSIS

Objectives Application of forensic anthropologicat method and mitochondnal DNA (mtONA) analysis in human remains identification.
Subjects and methods A case report of human remains identification at the National Institute of forensic medicine. Results. Human remains identification based on forensic anthropological method, we had determined some important components as age, sex, stature, trauma and pathological lesions of bone mtDNA analysis result showed that mtDNA haplotype found in bone sample matches with suspected relative's blood sample. We combined the ante-mortem and post-morten) information with data of forensic anthropology, mIDNA result to identify human remains accurately.
Conclusion V/e are successful in identification of a skeleton remains accurately, scientifically based on combination of classical identification methods as forensic anthropology and modem methods as mitochondrial DNA analysis
