Effects of temperature, humidity and THI on water consumption, feed intake, milk yield and milk quality of F„ F2 dairy cross breed lactating cow in summer at BaVi Cattle and Forage Research Centre

One experiment with 20 dairy crossbred cows, namely F, and F, rearing in small holders farms in Bavi was conducted to investigate the possible effects of temperature, relative humidity and THI on feed intake, water consumption and milk yield of cows during summer time. It was found that the temperature, relative humidity and THI had negative effects on water consumption, dry matter intake of roughage, milk yield of dairy cows in the summer time. These effects were more serious in F2 cows than those in F,. However, no effect of temperature, relative humidity and THI on milk compositions was found.
