This article examines the impact of volatility spillover ofthe US and Japan stock markets on Vietnam stock market. S&P 500, Nikkei 225 and VN-Index indices are daily collected from 01/01/2012 to 12/31/2015. Also, it adopts G/UiCH model to estimate variability and Granger causality to lest the spillover of variation. The results reveal a significant effect ofthe US stock market on Vietnam stock market, while there is no evidence for an influence ofthe Japan stock market on Vietnam stock market.
