a very pleasant evening was spent at the Emmanuel Hall recently, when Dr. Ben Morrison gave a striking addres on some problems and impres ions encoun·
tered during his travels abroad. The committee 0£ the League had prettily decorated the hall for the occn. ion.
:'.Vfrs. Nathan Levine, president of the Leaaue, who presided over a very large audience, introduced the speaker. Dr. M01Tison's lecture embraced his travels in Lithuania, Palestine and the Continent of Europe.

His thoughtflll remarks on the social problems with which he had come into contact provoked a livdy discus ion which added zest to a most enjoyable evenina. Thanks were tendered to him by the Rev. N. B. Weinronk, and the pleasure of the evening was enhanced by musical items rendered by some members of the latter gentleman's family.
The silver wedding of Mr. and .d:rs. B. \Veinronk was recently celebrated and evoked remarkable
expres:;ion of goodwill from the local community.
Mr. and Mrs. Weinronk are pillars of local Zionisn1, and very many friend seized the opportunity to express their esteem ancl affection in a tungible fornl·
