Voetspore is ‘n reis dokumentêr met Johan Badenhorst as spanleier en het saam met sy span menige reise onderneem deur Afrika se kontinent sedert 2000 toe daar begin is met die eerste Voetspore avontuur. Johan het Saterdag (14 Mei) sy reiservarings met Vryburg gemeenskap gedeel tydens ‘n fondsinsameling ten bate van Caritas Vryburg. Hier is Johan Badenhorst (regs) saam met Petrus Gouws, Liezl Grove, Mariette van Huyssteen , Janina Pretorius, Eldene Trollope, Roné Putter en Ilse van der Linde van Caritas.

STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: Given the sharp increase in reported cases wherein unsuspecting individuals have been swindled out of their hard-earned financial benefits, the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF), is once again issuing an alert to its members, pensioners, and beneficiaries of an illegal scam by fake agents who pretend to be representatives of the GEPF soliciting a fee to assist claimants to receive their money.
The GEPF would like to clarify to its members and the general public that the Fund deals directly with its clients, and does not charge for its services, nor does it recommend agents, companies, or any third party individuals to act on its behalf. Any person claiming to offer services on behalf of the GEPF and requesting payment is committing fraud and the public is urged to report them to law enforcement agencies such as the South African Police Service (SAPS).
The GEPF would like to make the public aware of the following:
• The GEPF services are FREE;
• No one is allowed to ask for a fee to assist current and former members, pensioners, beneficiaries, and their families concerning any GEPF-provided services;
• Take necessary precautions to protect your personal information such as identity document number and bank account details and do not share it with unauthorized persons.

Tebogo Moopatlogo, from Broedersput, has just received his Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Teaching). Tebogo also holds a BA degree in Communication from the North West University. “I hope to inspire young people from my community to embrace education to break the chains of adverse poverty,” Tebogo told Stellalander. STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: The Acting National Consumer Commissioner Thezi Mabuza urges consumers in possession of Knorr-Cup-a-Soup Lite Beef and Vegetable to discontinue use of the product and return it to the point of sale for a full refund. Mabuza says the supplier of the product informed the Commission of the precautionary recall of Knorr Cup-a-Soup Lite Beef and Vegetable.
“The manufacturer, Unilever South Africa informed the Commission that Knorr Cup-a-Soup Regular- Beef and Vegetable instant soup variant sachets were incorrectly packed into the Knorr Cup-a-Soup Lite Beef and Vegetable instant soup variant cartons. We understand that this means that consumers could unwillingly consume the Knorr Cup-a-Soup Lite Beef and Vegetable variant which unintentionally contains the undeclared wheat and gluten,” said Mabuza. The affected products were manufactured on 23 March 2022 with an expiry date of 22 September 2023. Consumers who are allergic to both wheat and gluten are advised not to consume the recalled product as the allergens could trigger an allergic reaction and provoke symptoms associated with consuming gluten and wheat. “I want to remind suppliers of goods and services to put safety measures in place to ensure that they distribute goods that meet the requirement of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). Suppliers need to carry out practices that
will ensure consumers that the product is safe to consume and is of acceptable quality.

safe and quality products. The Commission is monitoring this recall based on its Recall

STELLALANDER-LEEUDORINGSTAD: Die Landdroshof in Leeudoringstad het drie beskuldigdes borgtog van R2 000 toegestaan nadat hulle daarvan aangekla is dat hulle boere met R12 miljoen bedrieg het. Nardus Pienaar (39), Barend Jacobus van Loggerenberg (29) en Ansune Pienaar (40) staan tereg op twee aanklagte van bedrog en geldwassery en oortreding van die Wet op Belastingadministrasie ter waarde van R2,3 miljoen.
Daar word beweer dat boere wat kliënte van Suidwes Landbou is, Ludi van Heerden, wat ‘n interne ouditeur vir dieselfde entiteit is, genader het en ‘n klag oor bedrieglike transaksies in hul rekeninge geregistreer het op goedere wat hulle nie gekoop het nie. By die ondersoek het Van Heerden vasgestel dat hierdie transaksies gedoen is deur Nardus Pienaar, wat die takbestuurder by die Leeudoringstad Suidwes-tak is.
Pienaar sou na bewering bedrieglike bestellings vir kunsmis op verskeie boere se produksierekeninge skep. Hierdie bestellings sal gegenereer word nadat instruksies ontvang is van Barend Jacobus van Loggerenberg, ‘n agent vir Agri Trade Noordwes (Edms) Bpk, ‘n maatskappy wat ook ondersoek word. Nadat hierdie bestellings geplaas is, sou Agri Trade
belastingfakture aan Suidwes stuur vir betaling en bedrieglike afleweringsnotas vir kunsmis sou gestuur word, as bewys van aflewering aan boere.
Ondersoeke deur Van Heerden het verder bevind dat Pienaar ‘n direkteur by Agri Trade was en ‘n finansiële verteenwoordiger wat by FNB vir dieselfde entiteit geregistreer is. Daar is ook ontdek dat deposito’s in boere se rekeninge bedrieglik uit Van Loggerenberg se bankrekening gedoen is. Daar is ook bevind dat Pienaar ‘n paar transaksies in sy vrou se rekening gedoen het. Hy het ook versuim om die Suid- Afrikaanse Inkomstediens die 15%-BTW te betaal op die transaksies wat hy onder Suidwes Landbou uitgevoer het. Die drie sal na verwagting weer op 05 Julie in die hof verskyn.

STELLALANDER-PIET PLESSIS: Vrydag die 13de Mei het nie so rooskleurig uitgedraai vir drie verdagtes wat in besit gevind is van twee gesteelde kalwers nie.
Die trio se Nissan bakkie is Vrydag middag op die Beesdam/Piet Plessis/Stella kruising deur Piet Plessis polisie afgetrek.
Tydens die deursoeking van die verdagte voertuig, is twee kalwers agterop die bakkie onder die seil gevind waar hulle vasgemaak is.
Die trio kon geen bewyse of verduideliking van eienaarskap aan die polisie lewer nie. Voorlopige ondersoek van die Veediefstaleenheid ten opsigte van die brandmerke op die kalwers het gelei na die identifikasie van die eienaar wat in
Tshidilamolomo woonagtig is. Die trio is inhegtenis geneem op aanklag van veediefstal en sou Maandag (16 Mei) in Ganyesa Landroshof op die aanklagte verskyn.
Provinsiale Kommissaris van Noord-Wes, Lieutenant Generaal Sello Kwena het die polisielede geloof vir hulle oplettendheid wat gelei het tot die inhegtenisname van die verdagtes. Hy bedank ook die gemeenskap wat hulle vee volgens die Diere Identifikasiewet, 2002 (Wet 6 van 2002) brandmerk wat dan die polisie help met hulle ondersoeke.

STELLALANDER-AMALIA: ‘n Pa van drie jong dogters, Abrahm Charl (AC) Strauss (36) is Donderdag (12 Mei) in ‘n frats vliegongeluk op sy plaas Boschplaats dood.
Volgens inligting het AC in sy RAF 2000 twee-sitplek gyrocopter van sy plaas opgestyg en was oppad na Schweizer- Reneke. Die plaas is ongeveer 51km van Schweizer-Reneke. Verdere inligting dui aan dat AC oor die oop myn gevlieg het en toe skielik met die gyrocopter in
‘n slikdam van die myn neergestort het.

toerusting uit die water gehaal. Die polisie en nooddienste is gekontak, maar AC is reeds op die toneel dood verklaar. STELLALANDER-HUHUDI: The division Social Crime Prevention of Huhudi SAPS embarked on school safety outreach campaigns to three secondary schools in their policing area.
During the campaigns that were conducted from 10 to 12 May, grade 8-10 learners were educated on the health dangers when using substances. Sister Naledi Molatlhegi explained that the continued and excessive use of illegal substances ends up causing mental illnesses. She further highlighted that it is more prevalent amongst teenagers.
Portia Pedenyane of Department of Social Development explained that children come in conflict with the law when they start involving themselves in the use of substances.
She added that it is mostly how children get involved in crime. She motivated learners to focus on their schooling that is of most importance and not to allow their personal circumstances and external situations influence them. School Safety Boards were handed to the schools by Lerato Manoko from the Department of Education and with regard to the school safety boards she
stated that it is not expected that any learners
would be found in contravention of any of

STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: Die departement van Landbou, Grondhervorming en Landelike ontwikkeling het op 10 Mei 2022 beheermaatreëls in die Staatskoerant gepubliseer wat sekere dele van Limpopo en KwaZulu Natal insluit onder die Dieregesondheidswet, Wet 35 van 1984.
Jagbestemmingmaatreëls
Die doel van die beheermaatreëls is om die verspreiding van bek-en-klouseer te beperk. Derhalwe mag geen spleethoewige
diere, of enige diereprodukte afkomstig van spleethoewige diere en/of enige genetiese materiaal van spleethoewige diere uit die
beheergebiede verwyder word sonder ‘n permit soos genoem in Regulasie 20 (1) van die regulasies nie. Alle spleethoewige diere moet deur ‘n staatsveearts ondersoek word alvorens genoemde permit uitgereik sal word.
Boetie Kirchner van SA Jagtersvereniging het in ‘n nuusbrief aan sy lede genoem dat
lede wat jagbestemmings in die gebiede besit
asook lede wat jagte in die gebiede bespreek
het moet kennis neem van die maatreëls en
hul reëlings daarvolgens aanpas. Boetie sê dit
beteken dat daar wel gejag sal kan word, maar
dat daar nie toegelaat sal word om die vleis
van die gejagte wild uit die beheergebied
te verwyder nie. Die uitbreek van bek-en-
klouseer is ‘n baie ernstige probleem en lede
word versoek om aan die beheermaatreëls te
voldoen, vra Boetie.
Derde Texas bulveiling
STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: Die derde ‘SA’s Texas Beef bull sale’ is gehou op Donderdag (5 Mei) by Vryburg Skougronde en was ‘n groot sukses.
Dit is duidelik uit die belangstelling en bywoning van die veiling dat die groep net van krag-tot-krag gaan. Pryse wat behaal is, is ‘n duidelike weerspieëling van die kwaliteit diere wat aangebied was. Die duurste bul op die veiling, ‘n Charolais, lot 6 – BB200094, van Dewald van der Merwe van Biesiesvlei boerder, Lichtenburg is verkoop vir R160 000 aan Jacques Swart van Malemba boerdery van Vryburg. Lot 15 – BB200530, die tweede duurste Charolaisbul ook van Dewald van der Merwe is verkoop vir R100 000 aan Wikus Mostert van Schweizer-Reneke. Twee Brahmanbulle is verkoop vir R100 000 elk, onderskeidelik aan Kobus Niemann van KE boerdery van Vryburg, Lot 29 – BBS19950 en Lot 5 – BBS1910 is verkoop aan Harry Burger van Schweizer-Reneke. Die duurste
Simmentalerbul, Lot 11 – CCE1947, van Danie Erasmus van Vera Simmentalers, Delareyville, is verkoop vir R 100 000 aan Johan Rosseau van Rosseau boerdery ook van Delareyville.

Die ‘SA’s Texas beef bull’-groep kan met reg trots wees op hul suksesvolle veiling.
Noordkaap Lewendehawe wens hulle hartlik geluk met die top kwaliteit diere aangebied en hulle derde suksesvolle veiling. Theuns Visser was die afslaer.
Die duurste Charolaisbul is vir R 160 000 verkoop.
STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: Die AfriForum-buurtwagte in Christiana en Vryburg het gedurende April en begin Mei hard gewerk om sigbaarheid in die onderskeie dorpe te verhoog.
211 patrolleerders het ’n totaal van 107 patrollies aangepak gedurende die tydperk.
Die hoofdoel van die patrollie was om sigbaarheid te verhoog in die onderskeie gebiede en sodoende misdaad teen te werk.
Die AfriForum buurtwag in Vryburg se proto- en-brandspan het ondersteuning verleen aan die brandweer tydens ’n huisbrand.
Die protospan het toneelbewaring toegepas en die brandspan het gehelp met die blus van die vuur. Die AfriForum-buurtwag in Christiana het bystand gelewer aan die SAPD om veiligheid van ‘n persoon in die straat te verseker en sodoende moontlik verhoed dat
‘n ongeluk plaasvind. “Stellaland-buurtwagte sal voortdurend projekte aanpak en gereeld patrollies hou om misdaad in samewerking met die SAPD en ander veiligheidsinstansies hok te slaan en veiligheid te bevorder. Dit is belangrik dat gemeenskappe en organisasies saam hande vat om misdaad te bekamp. Die verhoogde sigbaarheid in dorpe speel ’n belangrike rol in gemeenskapsveiligheid en daarom is dit belangrik dat patrollies soos hierdie moet plaasvind,” sê Jp Nel, AfriForum se distrikskoördineerder vir Stellaland.

Die funksie is by Oranje Toyota in Vryburg gehou en is goed deur die gemeenskap ondersteun. Liezl Grove (links) het aan stuur gestaan van die
fondsinsameling en is hier saam met Johan Badenhorst en Chantell Britz (Oranje Toyota).

Caritas is die kerk se barmhartigheidsarm en deur hulle toegewyde en professionele diens, bereik hul letterlik duisende mense...mense wat nie altyd deur die kerk bereik word nie. Caritas is van gemeente bydraes, publieke ondersteuning en vir sekere programme,
finansiële ondersteuning van die staat afhanklik...maar wat vêr te min is. Die Voetspore in Vryburg geleentheid is gereël om Caritas se
finansies aan te vul. Caritas sal toesien dat die koffers nougeset en met verantwoording bestee word. Este van der Merwe
(Bemarkingsbestuurder van Caritas), Johan van der Merwe en Sandra Walles (Caritas Kimberley) het die geleentheid bygewoon.

S T E L L A L A N D E R - P I E T PLESSIS: Tien dansers van ‘n plaaslike dansskool het Vrydag (13 Mei) en Saterdag (14 Mei) deelgeneem aan die Free State Dance Awards finale in Welkom.
Vier van Laerskool Piet Plessis se leerders was deel van dié groep.
Al dié dansers het hulself oortref en toekennings ontvang vir hul optrede. In die 9-10 jaar-groep het Ingrid Reyneke met 84% ‘n silwer medalje ontvang en in die 11-12 jaar-groep het Aretha Kriel, ook met 84% ook silwer ontvang.
Christin van Schalkwyk, wat ook in die 11-12jaar-groep deelgeneem het, het met 89% ‘n goue medalje ontvang en Zelmari Fourie met 83% het ‘n silwer medalje ontvang. (Foto’s: verskaf)

NK-netbalproewe
STELLALANDER-HARTSWATER: Verskeie leerders van Hoërskool Hartswater het op Saterdag (7 Mei) deelgeneem aan die Frances Baard netbalproewe in Kimberley.
Ses van Hoërskool Hartswater se leerders is gekies om deel te vorm van die Noord Kaap Diamante spanne in hulle onderskeie ouderdomsgroepe. Cecilia du Plessis en Nadia Visser is gekies vir die o/18-span terwyl René van Niekerk, Nina Snyman en Tezlyn Blom vir die o/17-span gekies is en Simoné Fourie vir die o/14-span. Tydens die komende skoolvakansie sal die netbalspelers, as deel van die Diamante- span, deelneem aan die SA All Ages Netbaltoernooi.

Dansers presteer by IFAA awards
STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: Nege dansers van ‘n plaaslike dansskool het op Vrydag (13 Mei) deelgeneem aan die IFAA Awards in Jan Kempdorp.
Hulle het in ballet, moderne dans en klopdans style meegeding. Amelia Vercuiel het drie eerste plekke behaal, asook ‘n trofee vir ‘n algehele tweede plek in die junior groep vir alle style. Beané du Plessis behaal een eersteplek en twee tweede plekke. Mienke Pretorius behaal ‘n derde plek. Linieke Meintjes,
Resego Phiritswane, Zené Badenhorst en Izel Weideman doen ‘n modern dans kwartet en wen die trofee vir die hoogste punte (91%) behaal van alle groepe, duette, trio’s en kwartette, ongeag die styl of ouderdom. Hulle verdien ‘n spesiale toekenning vir goeie spanwerk.
