Calon Pegawai Negeri Sipil (CPNS) merupakan awal karir Bambang goeritno di instansi pemerintah Direktorat jenderal Cipta Karya, Departemen Pekerjaan umum pada tahun 1982 setelah sebelumnya selama 2 (dua) tahun mencari pengalaman di lingkungan swasta. Berbagai penugasan dan jabatan di lapangan (proyek-proyek pembangunan) telah dijalani selama 11 tahun, mulai sebagai insinyur perencana, pengawas, panitia pelelangan, asisten teknik, pemimpin proyek hingga mencapai posisi jabatan puncak sebagai Pemimpin Proyek Induk Medan urban Development Project II (1989-1993). Setelah menyelesaikan studinya selama dua tahun di kota Boston, Amerika Serikat hingga meraih 2 (dua) gelar Master secara berturut-turut, yaitu pada tahun 1994 (Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology) dan pada tahun 1995 (Kennedy School of government, Harvard university), Bambang goeritno kembali bertugas di Indonesia sebagai Staf Direktorat jenderal Cipta Karya, Departemen Pekerjaan umum.
Pada pertengahan tahun 1996, Bambang goeritno untuk pertama kalinya diangkat menjadi Pejabat Struktural eselon III, yaitu Kepala Balai Struktur Bangunan, Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Pekerjaan umum di Bandung, yang kemudian pada tahun 1997 berpindah tugas sebagai Kepala Subdit Program dan Anggaran, Direktorat Bina Program, Direktorat jenderal Pengairan Departemen Pekerjaan umum.
Dengan adanya perubahan bentuk organisasi kementerian dan lembaga pada tahun awal reformasi (1999), Bambang goeritno diminta bergabung ke Kementerian Negara Pekerjaan

Being candidates for Civil Servants (CPNS) is the early career of Bambang goeritno in the government institution, Directorate general of Human Settlement, department of Public Works in 1982 after over two (2) years having working experiences in the private companies. He has been given various assignments and positions in the field (development projects) for 11 years, starting as a planner engineer, supervisor, tender committee, technical assistant, project leader until he reached the top position as a Leader of the Main Project of Medan urban Development Project II (1989- 1993).
After completing his studies for two years in the city of Boston, uSA until receiving two (2) Master degrees in a row, namely in 1994 (Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and in 1995 (Kennedy School of government, Harvard university), Bambang goeritno was back on duty to Indonesia as a staff of the Directorate general of Human Settlements, Department of Public Works.
In mid-1996, Bambang goeritno for the first time was appointed as an official of Structural echelon III, the Head of the Structures, Research and Development of Public Works in Bandung, then in 1997, he was given another duty as the Head of Sub Program and Budget, the Directorate of Planning, Directorate general of irrigation Department of Public Works.
Due to the changes in ministries and agencies organizational form in the early years of the reform (1999), Bambang goeritno was asked to join the State Ministry of Public Works and

Perencanaan, Biro Perencanaan Kementerian Negara Pekerjaan umum. Tugas tersebut tidak terlalu lama dijalani (kurang lebih 1 tahun), karena pada pertengahan juni 2000, berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Nomor: 04/KPTS/BP4S-Pu/2000, Bambang goeritno dipromosikan untuk pertama kalinya sebagai Pejabat Struktural eselon II, yaitu Direktur Kerjasama Investasi BP4S-Pu.
Dengan dileburnya kembali Kementerian Negara Pekerjaan umum, BP4S- Pu, dan Departemen Permukiman dan Pengembangan Wilayah menjadi satu lembaga, yaitu Depar temen Permukiman dan Prasarana Wilayah (Kimpraswil) pada akhir tahun 2001, Bambang goeritno diberi tugas sebagai Sekretaris Inspektorat jenderal Depar temen Kimpraswil pada tahun 2001-2003.
Pada tahun 2003, berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Kimpraswil Nomor: 315/KPTS/M/2003 Bambang goeritno mendapat tugas sebagai Direktur Bina Teknik, Direktorat jenderal Tata Perkotaan dan Tata Perdesaan, Departemen Kimpraswil pada tahun 2003-2005. Selanjutnya pada pertengahan tahun 2005, berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Pekerjaan umum Nomor: 296/ KPTS/M/2005, Bambang goeritno mendapatkan tugas yang sangat strategis, yaitu sebagai Kepala Biro Perencanaan dan Kerjasama Luar Negeri Kementerian Pekerjaan umum. Tugas tersebut diemban selama 2 (dua) tahun sebelum akhirnya dipromosikan sebagai Pejabat Struktural eselon I.
Pada tahun 2007, Bambang goeritno dilantik sebagai Staf Ahli Menteri Pekerjaan umum Bidang Sosial Budaya dan Peran Masyarakat (eselon I/b) berdasarkan Keputusan Presiden RI Nomor: 64/M/2007. Setahun kemudian Bambang goeritno diangkat sebagai Staf Ahli Menteri Pekerjaan umum Bidang ekonomi dan Investasi (eselon I/b) berdasarkan Keputusan Presiden RI Nomor: 65/M/2008.

In 2003, based on the Decree of the Minister of Department of Settlement and Regional Infrastructure No. 315 / KPTS / M / 2003 Bambang goeritno was assigned as Director of engineering, Directorate general of urban and Rural Administration, Department of Settlement and Regional Infrastructure in 2003-2005. Furthermore, in mid-2005, based on the Decree of the Ministry of Public Works No. 296 / KPTS / M / 2005, Bambang goeritno received a highly strategic task, namely as Head of Planning and International Cooperation Ministry of Public Works. The task was carried out for two (2) years before finally promoted as an official of Structural echelon I.
In 2007, Bambang goeritno was sworn as an expert Staff of the Minister of Public Works in the field of Social Culture and Society Role (echelon I / b) under Presidential Decree No. 64 / M / 2007. A year later, Bambang goeritno was appointed as an expert Staff of the Minister of Public Works in the field of economy and Investment (echelon I / b) under Presidential Decree No. 65 / M / 2008.
Pada bulan April 2010, Bambang goeritno berdasarkan Keputusan Presiden RI Nomor: 49/M/2010 dan Nomor 100/M/2010 mendapat tugas sebagai Kepala Badan Pembinaan Konstruksi (eselon I/a) Kementerian Pekerjaan umum selama hampir 3 (tiga) tahun, dan pada bulan januari 2013 berdasarkan Keputusan Presiden RI Nomor: 15/M/2013 menjabat sebagai Inspektur jenderal Kementerian Pekerjaan umum hingga saat ini. Selain jabatan tersebut, Bambang goeritno juga mendapat amanah sebagai Komisaris utama PT NINDYA KARYA (Persero). Tidak memiliki hubungan afiliasi dengan anggota Direksi dan anggota Dewan Komisaris lainnya, maupun pemegang saham utama dan/atau pengendali.
In April 2010, Bambang goeritno under Presidential Decree No. 49 / M / 2010 and No. 100 / M / 2010 was assigned as Head of Construction Development Board (echelon I / a) Ministry of Public Works for almost three (3) years, and in january 2013 under Presidential Decree No. 15 / M / 2013 he has served as Inspector general of the Ministry of Public Works in the present. In addition to the positions, Bambang goeritno hal also been given mandate as the Main Commissioner of PT Nindya Karya (Company).
