6.2 Saran-saran

6.2.1 Saran untuk Peneliti di Masa Mendatang

Berdasar hasil penelitian dapat disarankan untuk peneliti di masa mendatang, yaitu : 1. Penelitian yang akan datang agar lebih menambahkan jumlah UMKM tidak hanya Kota

Malang dan memperhatikan karakteristik UMKM dengan membuat klasifikasi berdasar tingkat modal dan besamya aset, sehingga dapat diketahui perbedaan kinerja UMKM secara detail berdasar tingkat modal dan besamya aset UMKM tersebut.

2. Penelitian yang melibatkan variabel kinerja disarankan menggunakan ir.dikator pertumbuhan aset, pertumbuhan DPK, pertumbuhan kredit dan pertumbuhan laba dalam rentang waktu yang lebih panjang (hingga 5 tahun) sehingga dimungkinkan hasil yang berbeda dibandingkan pengukuran kinerja yang hanya dalam rentang waktu yang pendek.

6.2.2 Saran untuk Pengelola UMKM di Kota Malang

1. Pengelola UMKM dapat meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan melalui analisis terhadap lingkungan ekstemal yang mendalam serta dikombinasikan dengan kemampuan kapabiltas internal perusahaan, sehingga akan tercipta suatu strategi bersaing yang sesuai dan akhimya akan terciptanya suatu keunggulan Bersaing.

2. Berdasarkan hasil pengaruh total (total effect) baik melalui pengaruh langsung maupun pengaruh tidak langsung diketahui bahwa variabel yang paling besar mempengaruhi kinerja adalah lingkungan eksternal yang terdiri dari orientasi pasar, regulasi, perkembangan ekonomi dan perkembangan teknologi. Hal ini bisa menjadi bahan pertimbangan Pengelola UMKM dalam melakukan analisis terhadap lingkungan eksternal perlu lebih cermat dan mendalam.

3. Hasil penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa dalam beberapa variabel terdapat indikator yang dalam penelitian ini yang kurang mendapat perhatian manajemen UMKM, yaitu

a) Variabel lingkungan eksternal terdapat indikator pasar yang memiliki rata-rata skor

(mean) paling rendah. Hal ini mengindikasikan kurang sistematisnya pimpinan UMKM

dalam mempelajari kekuatan dan kelemahan kompetitor, masih kurangnya orientasi pada kepuasan pelanggan, kurang tersebarnya informasi tentang kompetitor kepada tenaga penjualan dan tidak cepat merespon aksi dari kompetitor. Hasil berbeda dimungkinkan apabila pimpinan UMKM mampu mengoptimalkan orientasi kompetitor sehingga secara keseluruhan variabel lingkungan eksternal akan memberikan pengaruh signifikan yang lebih besar terhadap kinerja.

4. Hasil penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa dalam beberapa variabel terdapat indikator yang dalam penelitian ini yang perlu mendapat perhatian manajemen UMKM, yaitu

a) Variabel lingkungan eksternal terdapat indikator ekonomi yang memiliki skor outer

weight tertinggi. Hal ini mengindikasikan UMKM disarankan mempelajari kondisi

perekonomian. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa UMKM perlu memperhatikan tingkat perekonomian suatu negara karena hal tersebut akan berdampak pada proses bisnis bank tersebut.
