Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan pihak administrasi rumah sakit agar lebih detail dalam hal penulisan alamat dan nomor telepon sehingga tidak menyulitkan bagi perawat lain atau peneliti lain yang ingin melihat perkembangan klien pasca amputasi untuk melakukan kunjungan ke rumah-rumah.

Kepada ahli okupasi hendaknya dalam pembuatan prostesis terutama kaki palsu hendaknya lebih lentur sehingga kaki palsu partisipan dapat rileksasi dan dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan aktivitas partisipan. Bahan juga hendaknya terbuat dari bahan yang lembut karena partisipan terutama yang berlatar belakang DM rentan terhadap luka lecet.

Perawat diruang peri operatif juga hendaknya bekerja sama dengan team kesehatan yang lain seperti perawat psykologis dalam mempersiapkan mental

pasien perioperatif sehingga pasien siap dalam menjalani amputasi dan bekerjasama dengan perawat komunitas dan jiwa dalam melakukan homecare

sehingga pasien tidak mengalami stres pasca amputasi.

Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk penelitian selanjutnya dalam rangka mengembangkan penelitian kualitatif dengan mempertimbangkan subjek penelitian dari perspektif yang berbeda seperti mekanisme koping pasangan terhadap klien pasca amputasi tungkai bawah.
