This course is a two-year part-time or one-year full-time course following on from the Industrial Design strand of the Bachelor of Applied Science - Built Environment course, but also available to graduates from other disciplines who subject to the eligibility conditions listed later in this manual. These are three-year part-time or two-year full-time courses following on from the Landscape Architecture/Urban and Regional Planning area of ​​the Bachelor of Applied Science - Built Environment course, but also available to graduates from other disciplines who subject to fulfillment. of the eligibility conditions listed later in this manual.

BY-LAWS OF THE

QUEENSLAND INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

RULES RELATING TO STUDENT MATTERS

Dean of Faculty means a member of the academic staff appointed by the Council and so appointed. Head of Department' means a member of the academic staff appointed by the Council and thus designated as the senior academic staff in a particular department.

GENERAL EXAMINATION RULES

Part I. DEFINITIONS

Reference to 'Head of Department' in these Rules shall be deemed to include reference to 'Head of School'.

DETERMINATION AND NOTIFICATION OF ASSESSMENT PROVISIONS

The Registrar should first contact the lecture halls, seminar halls, drawing offices and other examination accommodation during the approved periods for the Central Examinations. The Registrar may determine the date on which all Central Examination papers required to be marked by examiners must be forwarded to the Examinations Section within the Registrar's Office and the form in which such papers shall be accepted. a) The Registrar shall be responsible for preparing a timetable for all Central Examinations and for publishing such timetable as required by these rules.

Part IV. ELIGIBILITY TO UNDERTAKE ASSESSMENT PROVISIONS

DEFERRED EXAMINATIONS AND SPECIAL CONSIDERATION

Such applications must be submitted to the Registrar as soon as possible and in any event within the deadlines specified in the current Institute Calendar. Such applications must be supported by medical or other documentation in the form specified in Rule 15. b) The registrar must forward applications for special treatment to the relevant faculty dean for decision.

CONDUCT OF EXAMINATIONS 16. Responsibility for Conduct of Examinations

A candidate may not leave an examination room before the examination session without permission from a supervisor. A person, whether a candidate or not, shall not do anything intended to assist another person taking an examination to cheat or otherwise frustrate the purposes of the examination.

Part VII. PLAGIARISM

PENAL TY FOR BREACH OF RULES 28. Penalties

Based on the results given by the Head of Department, the Registrar will give each Academic Board. The Academic Board responsible for the subject in which the student is registered must notify the registrar of a final result no later than two weeks (or six weeks with the approval of the Academic Board) after the start of the next semester.

REVIEW OF RESULTS

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

Most are connected to the Institute's computer network via a MICOM 600/2 Port Selector that allows connection to all computers on the network. The technical area, consisting of studios, graphics workshop and darkrooms, is located on level 1. The office suite, seminar room and self-service workspace are located on level 2. The AM Fraser Library is centrally located on campus in 'V' Block.

STUDENT SERVICES

It was established with financial assistance from the QIT Federation and exists to encourage social interaction between students and staff of the QIT community. The club is also managed by a committee elected by members of the executive committee of QIT Union and members of the club.

INSTITUTE FUNCTIONS

The QIT Union organizes various activities on campus to acquaint students with the activities of various clubs and societies and to acquaint students with the social life of the campus. Other publications relating to specific functions of the Institute are: - Queensland Tertiary Courses Brochure.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Students who intend to apply for admission to the right course are not considered unregistered students and must follow the application procedures described earlier. Applicants do not need to apply through a Queensland Tertiary Admissions Center unless they wish to enroll on a course from which they are not excluded.

ADMISSION POLICY and ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of the program guarantees admission to any degree or part-time degree course offered by the Faculty of Engineering. Applicants must provide a full description of the program(s), including purpose, structure and other information about the organizing body; duration and place of lectures, seminars, workshops; results obtained and perceived benefits of participation or reasons for non-completion (where applicable).
