Healthstream QUT, the home of Central Brisbane Aquatics (formerly Kelvin Grove Swim Academy), is seeking a Permanent Part Time Swim Coach.
The successful applicant will have access to work across two conveniently located sites;
1)Indoor 25m heated pool, within the Healthstream QUT Urban Village in Kelvin Grove, access to full gym and sports hall facilities within the one building.
2)Indoor 50m pool at the Healthstream QUT Gardens Point campus boasting a state of the art 1300+ square metre weights room.
We have access support staff such as Personal Trainers, Masseuses, Physios available for our athletes.
Our program was established in late 2009 and we have developed a strong team of Juniors, State, National and Open National class representatives. As part of our strategic plan we are seeking a career orientated coach looking to further develop their skills and gain experience in a rapidly growing program.
The successful coach will need to possess a strong work ethic, exceptional communication skills, talent identification skills, passion for guiding swimmers to improve and looking to coach long term.
Under the guidance of a Silver Licence Head Coach, mentoring by our High Performance Manager and our Junior Head Coach, the successful applicant will have great opportunity to learn and implement their skills and philosophy in a controlled environment. The position will include primarily taking a joint role in our Junior Swimming Program (Consisting of multiple squads) and our Talent ID Program. The position has scope for growth by increased numbers of swimmers, gaining work in the gym and/or lifeguarding at the pool.
This role is best suited to a coach holding a current Green or Bronze Licence in
coaching. Desirable qualifications will be Lifeguard, Austswim (or equivalent), Cert III/IV Fitness.
A set contract will be based on a 20hr week with opportunities to build over time.
There is an opportunity for an immediate start.
