K values for glucose tolerance tests performed on 6 of the 7 subjects ranged between 0.48 and 0.89. In six of the seven subjects who received nicotinic acid as well as noradrenaline infusion (see Table 1), K values for glucose tolerance tests ranged from 1.22 to 1.84, and there was no increase in plasma FFA produced by infusion of noradrenaline.
