ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari dan untuk mencari kombinasi komposisi media dan dosis pupuk NPK (dekastar plus) yang tepat bagi
pertumbuhan sansevieria. Manfaat penelitian ini agar dapat memberikan informasi penggunaan jenis media atau komposisi media dan dosis NPK yang tepat bagi
pertumbuhan tanaman sansevieria trifasciata “gild edge”. Adapun hipotesisnya
adalah diduga terdapat pengaruh interaksi nyata dari kombinasi komposisi media dan dosis pupuk NPK terhadap parameter pertumbuhan sansevieria trifasciata gild edge. Perlakuan komposisi media dapat memperbaiki pertumbuhan tanaman sansevieria trifasciata gild edge. Perlakuan dosis pupuk NPK dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan sansevieria trifasciata gild edge.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Mulyoagung Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten Malang, dengan ketinggian kurang lebih 560 m dpl. Penelitian ini mulai Nopember 2008 sampai Februari 2009. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cangkul, ayakan, gelas ukur, timbangan, penggaris, meteran, plastik, pot palstik, bambu, timba, sprayer, spidol, buku dan alat tulis. Bahan yang digunakan adalah bibit sansevieria jenis gild edge berumur 3 bulan, pasir malang (pasir batu apung), pupuk kandang kambing, sekam bakar, pupuk akar NPK dekastar plus, pestisida dithane M45
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompok
yang disusun secara faktorial dengan tiga ulangan. Adapun Faktor pertama adalah Komposisi Media Tanam (M) yang terdiri dari 3 level yaitu : M1 : Media A (pasir batu apung/malang:arang sekam:pupuk kandang = 1:1:1), M2 : Media B (pasir batu apung/malang:arang sekam:pupuk kandang = 2:1:1), M3 : Media C (pasir batu apung/malang:arang sekam:pupuk kandang = 3:1:1). Sedangkan faktor kedua adalah Dosis Pupuk NPK Dekastar Plus (D) yang terdiri dari 4 level yaitu : D0 : Tanpa pemberian pupuk dekastar (Kontrol), D1 : Dosis Pupuk NPK Dekastar Plus 2 gram/tan, D2 : Dosis Pupuk NPK Dekastar Plus 4 gram/tan, D3 : Dosis Pupuk NPK Dekastar Plus 6 gram/tan.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat interaksi

Research this aim to study of composition media and dosage of NPK
fertilizer which both for growth of Sansevieria trifasciati ”gild edge”. Benefit of
research this can gave information of usage composition of media and dosage of NPK fertilizer which both for to growth of Sansevieria. Hypothesis anticipate there are significant effect interaction from composition media and dosage of NPK fertilizer to parameter growth of Sansevieria, anticipate the media composition can increase growth of Sansevieria, anticipate the dosage NPK fertilizer can increase the growth of Sansevieria.
Research hold on Mulyoagung Dau in ± 560 dpl, this research was done in
November 2008 to February 2009. The equipment that used in this research is hoe, plastic spoon, weight, ruler, caliper. The object of this research is the seedling sansevieria, NPK dekastar plus fertilizer, organic fertilizer, sand, polybag, charcoal of chaff, insektisida and dithane M45
fungicide.
The experiment to used the random block design (RAK) by two factor that in 3 repetition. First factor is composition of media (M) which consist of 3 level that is: M1 media of sand:charcoal of chaff:organic fertilizer =1:1:1, M2 media of sand:charcoal of chaff:organic fertilizer =2:1:1, M3 media of sand :charcoal of chaff:organic fertilizer =3:1:1. Second Factor is dosage of NPK fertilizer which consist of 4 level that is: D0 control without fertilization, D1 dosage of fertilizer 2 g/plant, D2 dosage of fertilizer 4 g/plant, D3 dosage of fertilizer 6 g/plant.
