ABSTRACT
One of the sectors that has
the important role in running the economic
activity is banking sector. As the financial institute, the banking sector keeps its
function as the intermediary that is to collect the funds from the society which has
the surplus of the funds and also to allocate the funds to the society which has the
deficit of the funds.
In running the function of the intermediary, bank extremely needs the trust of
the society. Therefore, Bank must keep it by giving a good service, maintaining the
reputation as the health bank, offering the products that help the customers, etc.
Beside the society trust factor, external factor of the country also impacts the
banking operation. For instance, income perkapita, inflation, interest, etc. The
condition of economic macro whether it is good or bad will impact the customers to
save or to get credit from the bank. Hence, all of the sides include the society,
banking and government have to cooperate to produce the condusif condition in
order to run the economic activity as they are.
Therefore, the writer interests to take the title "The Analysis of The Factors
Which Impacts The Intermediary Banking Function in North Sumatera to be studied
in this script.
