OBJECTIVES

• General:

To support the acceleration of reconstruction &

rehabilitation process in built-environment sector which was hardly

damaged by earthquake & tsunami on December 26, 2004.

• Institutional:

To enhance students learning about

community-based planning process and students participation in reconstruction

& rehabilitation in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.

METHODOLOGY

• Monitoring & evaluation were carried out by modified focus group

discussion (FGD) methods, interviewing samples consisted of 5

respondents as representatives of 5 houses in a cluster with similar

house types built by the same organization/institution, while

respondents themselves consisted of women & men with various

ages.

• Observation on building structure & construction quality were done

by senior students from Architecture Dept. & Civil Engineering

Dept. of Syiah Kuala University.

• Data’s were assessed using questionnaires designed by
