PRODUCTION SPIKE
Jakarta, Apr 29, 2011 – PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk. “a poer a Agro" or the Co pa y released its unaudited financial and operational results for the period ending in March 31, 2011.

regions though, rainfall amounts had begun to re-intensify in March of this year. Between January till March 2011, rainfall in most of our Kalimantan estates has subsided by approximately 35% year-on-year
yoy while the yoy drop is even more felt in our Sumatra estates which saw 41% less rain than the same period of 2010.
A ordi g to the latest release y Malaysia Pal Oil Board MPOB , o thly rude pal oil CPO output in the country between January till March 2011 has been steadily rising with the biggest gain recorded in March. Total output in the first quarter 2011 amounting to 3.57 million tons was still 8% below than the same period of last year. Sampoerna Agro produced a total of 82,664 tons of CPO in the first quarter 2011, or 101% higher than the same period of the previous year.
The Company managed to book revenue totalling Rp759.27 billion in the first quarter of 2011, up 151% from Rp302.15 billion booked in the same period of 2010. The increase was largely attributable to 139% more revenue from CPO, mainly as a result of higher sales volume that gained 87% to 72,131 tons. CPO has been the largest contributor to the Company at 79% of total revenue that amounted to Rp602.78 billion, or 139% higher than the figure booked in the same period of last year. Revenue from selling palm kernel rose even higher at 296% amounting to Rp120.56 billion, or 16% of total. For the case of palm kernel, higher revenue was primarily due to 112% higher selling price between the first quarter 2011 and the same period of the previous year. By end of March 2011, Sampoerna Agro booked earnings totalling Rp186.54 billion, soared 336% as opposed to the same period of 2010.
In 2011, there are about 5,069 hectares of palm oil estates, either managed by the Company or under its guidance, coming into maturity. Of these coming into maturity areas, close to 99% is made up of nucleus estates.
Pricewise, CPO traded in Malaysia climbed 42% at an average of RM3,649 per ton in the first quarter 2011 when compared with the same period of last year. This has benefited the Company in the form of higher average selling price of its CPO. The Company sold its CPO at an average price of Rp8357/kg in first quarter of 2011, rose 28% from Rp6,544/kg booked in the same period of last year.
