Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan
rancangan
pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design
. Penelitian tersebut
menggunakan dua kelompok eksperimen
.
Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh
siswa kelas X MA Ali Maksum, semester genap tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Dari
populasi yang ada diambil dua kelas secara acak sebagai sampel. Kelas yang
diperoleh adalah kelas X-E dikenai perlakuan berupa
pembelajaran dengan
pendekatan

Jigsaw
dan kelas X-G dikenai perlakuan
berupa
pembelajaran dengan pendekatan
cooperative learning
tipe
STAD
. Instrumen
yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes dan non tes. Instrumen tes
digunakan untuk mengukur prestasi belajar siswa. Instrumen non tes berupa angket
untuk motivasi belajar, dan akhlak mulia siswa. Untuk mengetahui efektif tidaknya
pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan
cooperatif learning
tipe
STAD
dan
cooperatif learning
tipe
Jigsaw
pada masing-masing variabel, data dianalisis secara
univariat dengan statistik uji
t-test one sample
pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Kemudian
untuk membandingkan keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan
cooperatif learning
tipe
STAD
dan
cooperatif learning
tipe
Jigsaw
, data dianalisis
secara multivariat dengan statistik uji
two-group MANOVA
pada taraf signifikansi

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pembelajaran matematika dengan

Learning Mathematics with Cooperative Learning

This study aims to describe: 1) The effectiveness of mathematics teaching
using cooperative learning approach of type Student Teams-Achievement
Divisions (STAD) and cooperative learning of Jigsaw in terms of student
achievement, learning motivation, and noble character of students; 2) which
approach is more effective between the type of cooperative learning approach
Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) with Jigsaw cooperative learning
approach in terms of student achievement, learning motivation, and noble
character of students.
This is quasi experimental research with pretest-posttest design
non-equivalent group design. The study used two experimental groups. The study
population included all students of class X MA Ali Maksum, the second semester
of academic year 2011/2012. Of the population there were two classes taken
randomly as samples. Class X-E was taught using Jigsaw cooperative learning and
class X-G was taught using STAD cooperative learning approach. The
instruments used to collect the data were test and non test. The test instrument
was used to measure student achievement. Non-test instruments in the form of a
questionnaire was used to measure learning motivation, and noble character of
students. To determine the effectiveness of mathematics teaching approach STAD
cooperative learning and cooperative learning of Jigsaw on each variable, the data
were analyzed by univariate statistical t-test one sample at a significance level of
5%. Then to compare the effectiveness of mathematics teaching approach STAD
cooperative learning and cooperative learning of Jigsaw, the data were analyzed
by multivariate statistical two-group MANOVA test at significance level of 5%.
The results show that: 1) the learning of mathematics with the approach of
cooperative learning STAD and Jigsaw was effective in terms of student
achievement, learning motivation, and noble character of students. 2) There is no
difference in the effectiveness of mathematics teaching cooperative learning
approach STAD and Jigsaw in terms of student achievement, learning motivation,
and noble character of students
