PREFACE

All praise to the most loving and merciful Allah SWT, whose blessings

have helped me in completing this research paper. This research paper “Power Exercises in Sara Shepard’s Young Adult Novel‘Pretty Little Liars’” is submitted

to the Department of English Education as partial fulfillment of the requirements

for Sarjana Sastra degree.

This research is expected to help the readers get better understanding of

the different bases of power and to be a valuable reference for further research

regarding power theories, especially in the context of young adult literature.

The writer realizes that this research paper still leaves room for

improvement. Any comment, suggestion or constructive advice would be much

the classroom.

and thin.
