PENGARUH KARAKTERISTIK PEKERJAAN DAN KOMPETENSI TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI NEGERI SIPIL
MELALUI ETOS KERJA PADA KECAMATAN SEKABUPATEN ACEH TAMIANG
ABSTRAK
Kinerja pegawai dapat tercapai apabila didukung dengan karakteristik pekerjaan dan kompetensi yang sesuai dengan bidang pekerjaan yang menunjang. Pentingnya peranan pegawai dalam rangka peningkatan kinerja tidak terlepas dari faktor karakteristik pekerjaan dan kompetensi pegawai guna menciptakan etos kerja yang tinggi dalam organisasi. Tujuan penelitian sebagai berikut 1) untuk mengetahui karakteristik pekerjaan secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap etos kerja, 2) untuk mengetahui kompetensi secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap etos kerja, 3) untuk mengetahui karakteristik pekerjaan secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui etos kerja, 4) untuk mengetahui kompetensi secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui etos kerja, 5) untuk mengetahui etos kerja secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai, 6) untuk mengetahui karakteristik pekerjaan dan kompetensi secara serempak berpengaruh terhadap etos kerja dan 7) untuk mengetahui karakteristik pekerjaan, kompetensi dan etos kerja secara serempak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Pegawai Negeri Sipil Sekabupaten Aceh Tamiang yang berjumlah 361 orang dari 12 Kecamatan, rumus pengambilan sampel mínimum menggunakan Yamane sehingga menjadi 78 orang. Metode pengambilan sampel yang dipakai pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik probability sampling yaitu teknik cluster sampling. Teknik analisis data dipilih adalah analisis statistik crosstabulationsoftware SPSS dan multiregresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) secara parsial karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap etos kerja, 2) secara parsial kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap etos kerja, 3) karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui etos kerja, 4) kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui etos kerja, 5) secara parsial etos kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, 6) secara serempak karakteristik pekerjaan dan kompetensi berpengaruh langsung terhadap etos kerja, dan 7) secara serempak karakteristik pekerjaan, kompetensi dan etos kerja berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja pegawai.

WORK ETHOS THROUGH THE DISTRICT SEKABUPATEN ACEH TAMIANG
ABSTRACT
Employee performance can be achieved if supported by job characteristics and competencies appropriate to support the field work. The importance of the role of employees in order to improve the performance characteristics of the factors can not be separated from the work and competence of the employees in order to create a high work ethic within the organization. The following research objectives 1) to know the characteristics of the work is partially an effect on work ethics, 2) to determine the competence of the partial effect on work ethics, 3) to determine the characteristics of the work is partially an effect on the performance of employees through work ethic, 4) to determine the competence partially affect the performance of employees through work ethic, 5) to assess the work ethic partially influence on employee performance, 6) to determine the characteristics of the work and competence simultaneously influence the work ethic and 7) to determine the characteristics of the work, competence and work ethic are simultaneous influence on employee performance. The population in this study is a Civil Servant Sekabupaten Aceh Tamiang totaling 361 people from 12 districts, the formula minimum sampling using Yamane so to 78 people. The sampling method used in this research is to use probability sampling technique is cluster sampling technique. Data analysis technique chosen is crosstabulation statistical analysis software SPSS and multiple regression. The results showed that: 1) the characteristics of the job partially positive and significant effect on work ethics, 2) partially competency positive and significant impact on the work ethic, 3) job characteristics and significant positive effect on employee performance through work ethic, 4) competence positive and significant impact on the performance of employees through work ethic, 5) partially work ethic positive and significant effect on the performance of employees, 6) simultaneously job characteristics and competencies directly influence the work ethic, and 7) simultaneously characteristics of the work, competence and ethics working directly influence employee performance.
