Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui representasi koruptor Fuad
Amin dalam karikatur sampul
Majalah Detik
pada aspek denotasi, konotasi,
mitos, dan ideologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif
dengan pendekatan analisis semiotika Roland Barthes.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan representasi koruptor Fuad Amin pada
karikatur sampul
Majalah Detik
digambarkan dengan sosok dirinya yang
memiliki identitas kesukuan dengan pengaruh yang kuat di masyarakat Madura
telah menumpuk kekayaan lewat tindak pidana korupsi
Simpulan yang diperoleh yaitu Majalah Detik melalui karikatur sampulnya
menunjukkan sinisme terhadap Fuad Amin dan kasus-kasus korupsi yang
menjerat para kepala daerah. Majalah Detik memandang kasus Fuad Amin adalah
salah satu contoh bahwa kasus korupsi di daerah disebabkan karena adanya
penyalahgunaan nilai-nilai budaya yang ada di masyarakatnya.

Roland Barthes Semiotics Analysis of the Representation of the Corruptor Fuad
Amin in Majalah Detik's Caricature Cover Edition 29 Desember 2014 - 4 January
2015. The main advisor is Dr. Herlina Agustin, S. Sos., MT and the second
advisor is Gumgum Gumilar, S. Sos., M.Si, Department of Journalism, Faculty of
Communication , University of Padjadjaran .
The objective of this research was to discover the representation of
corruptor Fuad Amin in Majalah Detik's caricature cover in these aspects;
denotation, connotation, myth and ideology. This research used a qualitative
research method with semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes approach .
The results shows that the representation of corruptor Fuad Amin on the
cover of
Majalah Detik’s
caricature depicted as a figure who had a tribal identity
with a strong influence on Madura society and amassed a fortune through
corruption.
The conclusion of this research is that Majalah Detik showed cynicism
towards Fuad Amin and many cases of corruption involving head of regions
through its caricatures. Majalah Detik viewed Fuad Amin’s case as an example
how corruption cases in many regions are mainly caused by the abuse of cultural
values in the society.
Suggestion from the researcher is that Majalah Detik should be more
critical on creating caricatures related to corruption. As a media, Majalah Detik
also should take an extra notice on depicting cultural matters on its caricatures to
