Baru District in Figures Publication in previous years figures.

Data presented in this publication is a state in 2013, in order to provide an

overview and progress of development in the Kota Baru District.

This publication was made possible through good cooperation with all parties,

both public and private in the Kota Baru District. We thank you for the assistance and

Kotabaru District is located in the West of

Jambi City, with an average height of

15m above sea level. Kotabaru District

boundaries are as follows:

North side bordered with Telanaipura

District

South side bordered with Muaro Jambi

Regency

East side bordered with Jelutung &

Jambi Selatan District

West side bordered with Muaro Jambi

Regency

The Kotabaru District’s contour of land

are flat and slightly hilly with an area of

1. Handil Jaya village with an area of

11,28 km2 (14,5% of the districts).

Selama kurun waktu tahun 1986 s/d 2013

Kecamatan Kota Baru sudah dipimpin

sebanyak sebelas orang Camat, dimana

Camat terlama yang menjabat adalah Drs.

Animan Gani tahun 1986 s/d 1993.

Kecamatan Kota Baru terdiri dari 10

1. Pendidikan

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu

faktor yang dapat meningkatkan

kualitas penduduk. Sarana pendidikan

di Kecamatan Kota Baru Tahun 2013

adalah sebagai berikut;

- Taman

Kanak-kanan

(TK),

sebanyak 38 Unit, 2.027 orang

siswa dan 209 orang guru.

- Sekolah Dasar (SD) sebanyak 43

unit, 13.464 orang siswa dan 542

orang guru.

- SLTP sebanyak 13 unit, 6.535

orang siswa dan 236 orang guru.

- SLTA sederajat sebanyak 17 unit,

6.814 orang siswa dan 521 orang

guru.

2. Kesehatan

Sarana kesehatan di Kecamatan Kota

Baru terdapat 2 unit Rumah Sakit, 4

unit Pusakesmas, 6 unit Pustu, 122

unit Posyandu, 6 klinik kesehatan dan

Polides/praktek

bidan.

Sedangkan Tenaga Kesehatan Dokter

Umum 44 orang, Dokter Gigi 7 orang,

perawat 48 orang, bidan 65 orang dan

farmasi 16 orang, Ahli gizi 11 orang

dan sanitasi 12 orang.

3. Agama

Pelayanan kehidupan beragama dan

kepercayaan terhadap Tuhan Yang

Maha Esa senantiasa dikembangkan

untuk kehidupan masyarakat dan

mengatasi masalah sosial budaya

yang mungkin dapat menghambat

kemajuan bangsa. Di kecamatan Kota

Baru terdapat 108 unit Mesjid, 115 unit

Langgar, 16 unit Gereja dan 1 unit

Pura.

IV. SOCIAL

1. Education

Education is one of the factors that

can improve the quality of the

population. Means of education in

Kota Baru district of 2013 are as

below;

- The kindergarten (TK), a total of 38

units, with 2.027 students and 209

teachers.

- Primary schools (SD) by as much

as 43 units, 13.464 students and

542 teachers.

- Junior High School (SLTP) as

much as 13 units, 6.535 students

and 236 teachers.

- Senior High School as much as 17

unit, 6.814 students and 521

teachers..

2. Health

Health facilities in Kota Baru District,

there are 2 Hospital, 4 local

government clinic, 6 unit local

government clinic, 122

Integrated Service Post

, 6 health clinics and 83

midwife clinic. While the health

workers, 44 doctors, 7 dentist, 48

nurse, 65 midwife, and 16 pharmacy

personnel, 11 nutritionists and 12

sanitation personnel.

3. Religion

Service religious life and trust against

the God continually developed to

public life and solve socio-culture that

might be hamper the progress of

nations.In Kota Baru District there is

108 mosque, 115 private mosque, 16

church and a unit pura.
