ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Indigofera falcata ransum sapi perah berbasis jerami padi terhadap produksi gas total dan pH. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), yaitu perlakuaan R1 (Jerami Padi 7 % +
konsentrat 60 % + Indigofera falcata 33 %), R2 (Jerami Padi 15 % + konsentrat 45 % + Indigofera falcata 40 %), R3 (Jerami Padi 23 % +
konsentrat 30 % + Daun Indigofera falcata 47 %), R4 (Jerami Padi 30 % + konsentrat 15 % + Indigofera falcata 55 %), R5 (Jerami Padi 38 % + konsentrat 0 % + Indigofera falcata 62 %). Perlakuan ini diulang empat kali. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam, Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar pelakuan dilakukan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Indigofera falcata dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan produksi gas total, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap pH. Peningkatan tertinggi dicapai pada penggunaan campuran Indigofera falcata dan jerami padi 62%: 38% dalam ransum.

ABSTRACT
The Research was carry out to know the effect usage of Indigofera falcata in dairy cattle rations based on rice straw on total gas production and pH. A complete random desaign was used in this research the treatment , i.e. R1 (rice straw 7 %, concentrate 60 %, and Indigofera falcata 33 %), R2 (rice straw 15 %, concentrate 45 %, and Indigofera falcata 40 %), R3 (rice straw 23 %, concentrate 30 %, and Indigofera falcata 47 %), R4 (rice straw 30 %, concentrate 15 %, and Indigofera falcata 55 %), R5 (rice straw 38 %, concentrate 0 %, and Indigofera falcata 62 %). This treatment were replaced four time. Data were analysis by Varian Analysis and different between mean treatments were analysis by Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the ration by Indigofera falcata can increase total gas production, but no effect on pH. Achieved the highest increase in the use of a mixture of rice straw and Indigofera falcata 62%: 38% in the ration.
