PenelitianinibertujuanuntukmenganalisispersepsipengusahaUMKM
dalamimplementasi MEA danuntukmengetahuipermasalahanbagi UMKM di kotaMedandenganmenggunakanmetode analisis deskriptif dalam bentuk tabel, frekuensi, persentase, dan tabulasi silang (crosstab).Penelitianinimenggunakan data primer dengankuisionerdanwawancaraterhadap 50 responden yang terdiridariparapemilik UMKM dari Usaha Mikro, Usaha Kecil, dan Usaha Menengah.
Hasildaripenelitianinimenunjukkanbahwapascapembentukan MEA masihbelummeningkatkandayabelimasyarakat di Kota Medan.Dan
hasilsurveyterlihatsebanyak96% parapemilik UMKM
mengatakanbahwamasalahutamaterdapatpadapermodalanatauketerbatasan modal, selanjutnya masalah faktor produksi dan tenaga kerja.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to determine the role of Small Micro Entrepreneurs (SME) in implementation Asean Economic Community(AEC) and to find problems for the role of Small Micro Entrepreneurs (SME) in Medan by using Descriptive analysis methodin the form of tables, frequencies, percentages and cross tabulation (cross-tabs).With primary data from questionnaires and interview with 50 respondents who are the owner of SMEs.
The result of this study showed that after implementation AEC is not yet growth the power of buy people in Medan city. And result survey showed 96% owners of SMEs said that especially problem is capital or limited capital, next the problem is about factor production and labor.
