12 Kg Buah mengkudu dipotong tipis- tipis
Dikeringkan dalam lemari pengering dengan
suhu 40-50
оC , selama ± 5 hari
1,2 Kg serbuk diekstrak dalam 4.000 ml etanol
70%
Potongan-potongan yang sudah kering
dihancurkan menggunakan
belender
Larutan disimpan dalam toples tertutup dan
dibiarkan sekurang-kurangnya selama 3 jam
Massa dipindahkan sedikit demi sedikit
kedalam perkolator sampai cairan mulai
menetes lalu perkolator dibiarkan selama 24
jam
Hasil penyarian diuapkan menggunakan
rotary
evaporator
dengan suhu tidak lebih 40
оC.
Hasil ekstraksi dikeringkan dengan alat
penangas selama 2 hari hingga diperoleh
ekstrak kental.
