True Love
Long ago, in a peaceful side of this country, there lived boy named Raka, and a girl named Nimas. Raka and Nimas had been good friends since their childhood. However, there was something that led them to be apart. Nimas and her parents had to move to another town. But they believed someday they would meet again. Nimas said that she would be waiting for that moment. Then, there was Raka, left alone. What a poor boy! Since that moment Raka and Nimas are lost contact.
Many years passed. Like what Nimas said, finally they met again after few years apart. But they had changed. Nimas had grown to be a pretty young woman, while Raka a handsome man. Soon, they fell in love with each other. Raka always
came to Nimas‟ house. Nimas‟ parents welcomed him well because he was good young woman.
But, the happy moment didn‟t last long. One day, Nimas‟ parents heard a bad news about Raka. Somebody had said to them that Raka‟s father was a bad
person.
Since that moment, Nimas‟ parents disliked him. They were worried that
Raka would be just like his father. They warned Raka to stop seeing Nimas.
Nimas had to break up with Raka. The young lovers felt that it was unfair. Nimas‟
parents could not judge Raka that he was a bad guy just because of his father. Raka said that he was not his father. But, they never gave up. They kept on trying
to see each other, and of course, to ensure Nimas‟s parents that Raka wasn‟t like
what they thought.
One day, something terribly bad almost happened to Nimas. The day was
already dark. Nimas walked alone on her way home. On the way, three man stopped her and tried to do bad thing to her. Nimas screamed, but nobody heard her cry for help. Fortunately, Raka came to help her. He straightly fought those men. He won and Nimas was safe.

Prabu Baka was the king of the Prambanan kingdom. He had a beautiful daughter named Roro Jonggrang. He was killed in a battle by Bandung Bondowoso, the minister of the Pegging kingdom. He was named after his magic
weapon “Bandung”. After seeing Roro Jonggrang beauty, Bandung fell in love
with her and decided to marry her. Unfortunately, Roro Jonggrang didn‟t want to
marry him. She knew Bandung was murderer of her father. Then, with then advice
of the Patih, Roro Jonggrang accepted Bandung‟s proposal in condition, he built a thousand temples in one night.
Bandung asked to his father, Darmamaya and the King of Pegging for a help. Using their magic of power, they manage to complete 500 temples by midnight. When Roro Jonggrang knew the progress they made, she began to play a trick. She ordered all the girls to pound rice and burn something. As a result, a cock began to crow and the sky looked red. It was the sign of down.
The workers stopped their work. Bandung counted the temples before him. To his surprise, there were only 999. Finally, Bandung found out Roro Jonggrang trick. He became very angry and pursed her. She was changed into statue.

Little Brother, Little Sister
fled into the woods. After running for a while, the brother said: “I‟m so thirsty. Let‟s find a spring and have a drink”.
However, as the young boy bent down to drink, his sister heard a voice

Once upon a time, there was a handsome boy named Suta. Suta was a
servant in a kingdom in Central Java. His duty was look after the king‟s hoses.
Suta liked to take a walk after doing his chores.
When Suta was walking near lake, he heard a woman screaming. So, Suta hurried to find the source of the scream. Finally, he arrived near a big tree. He saw
the king‟s daughter screaming. Above her, there was a giant snake about a strike.
Suta was afraid, but he worried about the princess. So, he took a big stick and hit the snake in its head. The snake hissed in pain and finally died.
“Thank you, Suta. You saved my life,” said the princess.
“No needed for that princess. It‟s my duty as your father‟s servant to help you.”
Since the day, Suta and the princess became a good friend. They even fell in love with each other. So, the princess told Suta to go to her father and asked his permission to marry her.
The king was furious to hear about their plans. “Suta is just a servant while you are my daughter, the princess. It is unacceptable for you to marry a servant”. The princess was sad to hear the father‟s answer, especially after her father
thrown Suta in jail for having the nerve to ask her to marry him.
In jail, Suta was not given anything to eat or drink. Hearing that, the princess made a plan to break her lover out of jail. They succeed and they run far away. They rested near the river. The workers stopped their work. Bandung counted the temples before him. To his surprise, there were only 999. Finally, Bandung found out Roro Jonggrang trick. He became very angry and pursed her. She was changed into statue.
