SARDO SINAGA. Uji Infeksi Phaeophleospora sp. pada klon hybrid Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus urophylla di PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk Kabupaten Toba Samosir, Sumatera Utara. Dibawah bimbingan Dr. Ir. EDY BATARA MULYA SIREGAR, MS dan RIDAHATI RAMBEY, S.Hut, M.Si
Phaeophleospora sp. merupakan salah satu patogen penyakit penyebab hawar daun yang menyerang tanaman Eukaliptus terutama yang masih muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi gejala penyakit daun, mengukur tingkat intensitas serangan, luas serangan, serta reaksi tanaman (resistensi) terhadap infeksi Phaeophleospora sp. pada tiga klon hybrid Eukaliptus. Klon yang di uji adalah IND 68, IND 69, IND 73. Inokulasi dilakukan dengan cara penyemprotan inokulum ke tanaman. Pengamatan gejala dilakukan setiap hari sejak inokulasi dilaksanakan. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa awal gejala yang muncul adalah sama. Gejala diawali timbulnya bercak kekuningan pada permukaan daun dan semakin melebar hingga timbulnya bercak kemerahan yang menandakan serangan penyakit sudah parah. Intensitas serangan pada tiga klon yang diuji tidak menunjukkan pebedaan nyata mulai pengamatan pertama hingga pengamatan keenam setelah inokulasi. Hasil uji berdasarkan luas serangan menunjukkan bahwa semua klon terinfeksi 100%.

Phaeophleospora is one of phatogenic diseases that caused blight leaf and attacked Eucalyptus plant especially the callow one. The goals of this research were characterizied the symptom of leaf diseases, measured the level of intensity and the extensive damage, and how the plant (resistance) reacted the phaeophleospora infection, in three Eucalyptus hybrid clones, such as IND 68, IND 69, IND 73. Inoculation applied by spraying inocol to the plants. The symptom was observed everyday since was inoculation was applied and it showed same symptom according to the observation. There was large yellowish spots on the leaf surface at the beginning and became reddish spots, it mean that the disease was getting worse. The level of intensity from the three tested clones
didn’t show the real difference from first until sixth observation after inoculation
was applied. According to the extensive damage, the result showed that three clones were 100% infected.
