ABSTRAK
Rendahnya cakupan ASI eksklusif di Indonesia dibandingkan dengan negara berkembang lainnya berakibat tidak baik bagi kesehatan bayi seperti alergi, diare, infeksi saluran pernapasan, gizi kurang dan penurunan perkembangan kecerdasan kognitif (Roesli, 2008). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada masyarakat di Desa Mazingo Tanoseo Kecamatan Hiliduho Kabupaten Nias tahun 2015.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di Desa Mazingo Tanoseo Kecamatan Hiliduho Kabupaten Nias pada Bulan Februari sampai dengan Desember tahun 2015. Sumber informasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 5 orang ibu menyusui yang memiliki bayi umur 6-12 bulan sebagai informan utama dan 5 orang informan pendukung yang terdiri dari 2 orang suami informan utama, 1 orang tenaga kesehatan, 2 orang tokoh masyarakat.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas ibu menyusui di Desa Mazingo Tanoseo mempunyai kebiasaan membuang kolostrum dan memberikan makanan/minuman kepada bayinya sebelum ASI keluar dan mulai bayi berumur 3 bulan diberikan makanan/minuman berupa bubur nasi, bubur sun, susu formula, air putih, teh manis dan air gula. Faktor ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif adalah faktor pengetahuan informan yang cenderung kurang mengetahui pentingnya ASI eksklusif bagi bayi, faktor kebiasaan informan yaitu terbiasa membuang kolostrum dan memberikan makanan/minuman selain ASI sebelum bayi berumur 6 bulan, dan faktor pekerjaan juga mempengaruhi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif yaitu ibu cenderung bekerja di kebun dari jam 0600-1100 wib dan dilanjutkan kembali bekerja jam 1400-1800 wib sehingga bayi kurang mendapatkan ASI.
Diharapkan kepada anggota keluarga terutama suami dan mertua untuk memberikan perhatian dan kerjasama yang baik kepada ibu menyusui dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif. Disarankan kepada bidan desa untuk lebih aktif memotivasi dan meningkatkan penyuluhan kepada ibu menyusui dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif. Diharapkan kepada Kepala Desa untuk terus mendukung dan memotivasi kader kesehatan dan masyarakat untuk mengikuti kegiatan kesehatan di posyandu salah satunya tentang pemberian ASI eksklusif.

ABSTRACT
The low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia compared with
other developing countries result is not good for the baby’s health such as
allergies, diarrhea, respiratoy infections, malnutrition and decreased the development of cognitive intelligence (Roesli, 2008). The aim in this study was to describe the exclusive breastfeeding in the community in the village Mazingo Tanoseo Hiliduho District of Nias in 2015.
The research in a qualititative study conducted in the village of Mazingo Tanoseo Hiliduho District of Nias in February until December 2015. Sources of information in this is 5 lactating mothers with babies aged 6-12 months as key informants and 5 informants consisting supporters of 2 main informaints husband, 1 health workers, 2 community leaders.
The results showed that the majority of the behavior of lactating mothers in the village Mazingo Tanoseo have a habit of thowing colostrum and provide food/beverage to her baby before the milk out and started infants aged 3 months given food/drinks such as rice gruel, porridge sun, milk powder, mineral water, sweet tea and sugar water. Maternal factors in exclusive breastfeeding is a factors of knowledge informants who are less likely to know the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for infants that habit informants are used to discard colostrum and provide food/drink other than breast milk before the baby is 6 months old, and occupational factors also affect the m mother in exclusive breastfeeding that mothers tend to work in the garden from 0600-1100 hours pm and resumed work hours 400-1800 hours so that bred to midastfed babies are less.
Expected to family members, especially her husband and in-laws to give attention and good good cooperation to breastfeeding mothers in exclusive breastfeeding. Suggested to the village midwife to more actively motivate and increase outreach to nursing mothers in exclusive breastfeeding. Expected to head of village to continue to support and motivate health workers and the community to participate in health activities at posyandu one of them about exclusive breastfeeding.
