IFAD Loan No. 645 and Grant No. 726-ID Procurement of Thresher

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, Ref. No. UN255 issue 775.
2. The Government of Indonesia cq. Ministry of Agricultural cq. Agency of Extension and Agricultural Human Resource Development has received a loan from IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development) to finance READ Programme in Palu, Central Sulawesi and intends to use part of this loan proceeds for making payment under the Contract for Procurement of
Thresher.
3. The Procurement Committee (Pokja) of READ Programme in Central Sulawesi now invites sealed bids from qualified bidders qualified to supply 100 (one hundred) units of Thresher.
4. Bidding shall be conducted using International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedure
specified in the IFAD’s Guidelines and be open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined therein.
5. Interested and eligible bidders may obtain further information from Pokja I ULP of Agricultural Office of Central Sulawesi; and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address: Jln. R. A. Kartini No. 80, Palu – Central Sulawesi (Up. Hariyanto Tangahu) 94112, Indonesia; Phone: 62-0451-421160; Fax: 62-0451-421160 from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. WITA (Indonesian Central Time)
6. Qualification requirements include: (i) financial capacity; (ii) experience as supplier of threshers; (iii) availability of after sales services in Indonesia. A margin of preference for certain
goods manufactured domestically “shall not” be applied. Additional details shall be provided in the Bidding Documents.
The Bidding Documents are to be sent by registered mail.
8. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or by September 13, 2013 at 1.00 p.m. Electronic bidding will not be permitted and late bids will be rejected. Bids shall be opened before the bidders’ representatives preferring to attend in person at the address below at 1.15 p.m. on September 13, 2013. All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Securing Declaration” as appropriate.
