ABSTRACT
This research aims to know perception of member and leader about team diversity and action the
member to assess the management by leaders in team diversity. This research takes the data in
the Team Rector Christian University Satya Wacana, period 2009-2013. This qualitative
research. Used a empirical data, which conducted interviews with leaders and members of the
team rector, and the interviews were analyzed. This reseach used analysis theme. The results of
analysis is concluded that the management undertaken by the team leader in diversity divided
into three : the principle (transparent, free speech, professional, willing to learn , have a clear
vision), action (aware of diversity, gives authorize and trust an task, create a trust, to act fairly,
listening, created a good relationship with the other member, good communication) , and
authority (postpone the decision and seek information, The highest authority by leader, shared
responsibility).
