This research was aimed at finding out 1) college students’ perception towards structure five class at English department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, and 2) the most influencing factor on students’ perception. The method utilized in this research was descriptive survey method. The subject of this study was 48 fifth semester students taken by using random sampling as representatives of the population. Questionnaire was used to obtain the main source of data and it was endorsed by the supporting data from interview. The analysis result of the research findings disclosed that the majority of students in this study held a good perception towards structure 5 class. In fact, there was 65% of students showed a good perception and 35% of them indicated their perception in very good scale. It means no one in this study having bad perception towards structure 5 class. Instructor factor had the strongest influence on students’ perception with the percentage of 21.33%. The percentages of other influencing factors were linguistic factor (20.91%), student factor (20.52%), instruction method (20.50%), and the last was provided facilities and media having the weakest influence with the percentage of (16.74%). Briefly, the survey result showed a positive outcome. Nevertheless, there were two findings that the lecturer must pay attention on for the sake of betterment: a) only less than a half of students studying grammar beyond the lecturing time, b) most of students would rather ask their friends they think capable of structure materials they are still confused on than ask the lecturer.
