PRESIDENTIAL INSTRUCTION NO. 1/2001 DATED FEBRUARY 21, 2001
THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY-BASED INFORMATION CENTRE IN KEMAYORAN COMPLEX
THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,
Considering :
a. that information technology-based information plays an important role and is badly needed by business entity and the government;
b. that the Kemayoran Complex is deemed suitable for the locations of construction of an information centre based on information technology, which functions as a bridge and gateway between Indonesia and the world.
In view of :
Article 4 paragraph (1) of the Constitution of 1945, which has been amended by the Second Amendment to the Constitution of 1945.
INSTRUCTS
1. The Minister of Communications and Telecommunications; 2. The State Minister for Research and Technology;
3. The Minister of Finance;
4. Head of the National Development Planning Board.
To implement :
FIRSTLY :
To examine, prepare, and construct an information centre based on information technology at Kemayoran Complex.
SECONDLY :
To take efforts to provide funds for financing the activities mentioned in FIRST dictum, derived from the country and abroad, in accordance with laws in force.
THIRDLY :
The activities mentioned in FIRST and SECOND dictums shall be implemented by coordinating the Team For Coordinating Indonesian Telecommunications and Information (TKTI), which is established by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 50/2000 and the Kemayoran Complex Management Agency, set up by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 53/1985, which has most recently been amended by Presidential Decree No. 73/1999.
FOURTHLY :
This instruction shall be implemented in a full sense of responsibility and every stage of operational activities must be reported to the President.
