Reason for change: The current version of the SensorML specification also includes the specification of the SWE Common data model specification. It was recognized during the release of Version 1.0, that the SensorML and SWE Common specifications should be treated as separate specification with separate documents in future releases. The SWE Common SWG is currently working on this for the SWE Common 1.1 specification. The next release of SensorML whould reflect that change as well.
Summary of change: Remove the SWE Common data model specification description from the SensorML specification, and reference the corresponding SWE Common specification document instead.
Consequences if
not approved: Confusion; redundant specification documents.
