i ABSTRAK
Pembinaan kesehatan bagi lansia yang merupakan kelompok rawan dipandang dari segi kesehatan karena kepekaan dan kerentanan yang tinggi terhadap gangguan kesehatan dan ancaman kematian. Kinerja kader posyandu lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Simalingkar belum optimal karena terkait permasalahan dengan motivasi kader dalam memberikan pelayanan di posyandu lansia.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh faktor motivasi intrinsik dan motivasi ekstrinsik terhadap kinerja kader posyandu lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Simalingkar Kota Medan dilakukan terhadap 40 orang kader posyandu lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Simalingkar sebagai sampel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis secara statistik mengunakan uji regresi logistik ganda pada α = 5%.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi intrinsik (tanggung jawab, prestasi yang diraih, pengakuan hasil kerja, pekerjaan itu sendiri, kemungkinan pengembangan dan kemajuan) dan motivasi intrinsik (imbalan, keamanan dan keselamatan kerja, kondisi kerja, hubungan kerja, prosedur kerja dan status) berpengaruh terhadap kinerja kader posyandu lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Simalingkar. Variabel motivasi ekstrinsik paling dominan memengaruhi kinerja kader posyandu lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Simalingkar (p = 0,017 dan OR = 8,431)
Disarankan kepada Puskesmas Simalingkar perlu dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kinerja kader posyandu lansia melalui peningkatan faktor motivasi, seperti memberikan pelatihan dan pengembangan kemampuan kader posyandu lansia dalam pengelolaan posyandu lansia. Perlu pemberian insentif sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhannya dalam melakukan pelayanan kepada lansia. Kader posyandu lansia diharapkan mengembangkan diri melalui pelatihan tentang pelayanan lansia serta memotivasi diri dalam melakukan pelayanan posyandu.

Health care for old people is important since this group of age is highly vulnerable to health problem and can easily find death. The performance of
cadres at posyandu (integrated health post) for old people in the working area of Simalingkar Puskesmas (public health center) is not optimal because it is closely related to cadres’ motivation in providing services at posyandu for old people.
The aim of the research was to analyze the influence of intrinsic and extrinsik motivation on cadres’ performance at posyandu for old people in the
working area Simalingkar Puskesmas, Medan. The samples comprised 40 cadres at posyandu for old people in the working area Simalingkar Puskesmas. The data were gathered by distributing questionnaires and analyzed statistically by using multiple logistic regression tests at = 5%.
The result of the research showed that intrinsic motivation
(responsibility, achieved performance, performance recognation, performance itself, possibility for development, and advancement) and extrinsic motivation
(reward, job security and safety, work condition, and work procedure and
status) influenced the cadre’s performance at posyandu for old people in the working area Simalingkar Puskesmas. The variables of extrinsik motivation had the most dominant influence on cadres’ performance in the working area of Simalingkar Puskesmas ( p = 0,017 and OR = 8,431)
It is recommended that the management of Simalingkar Puskesmas increased the cadres’ performance at posyandu for old people by increasing their motivation such as providing training and developing their capability in managing posyandu for old people and provide support by giving reward and
incentives to them so that their can fulfill their needs in providing services to old people. It is also recommended that the cadre at posyandu for old people
develop their skill through training about services for old people and motivate themselves in giving services at posyandu.
