Oslo Manual
for measuring innovation
defines four types of innovation:
product
innovation,
process
innovation,
marketing

innovation.
Product innovation:
A good or service that is new or significantly improved. This
includes significant improvements in technical specifications, components and
materials, software in the product, user friendliness or other functional
characteristics.
Process innovation:
A new or significantly improved production or delivery
method. This includes significant changes in techniques, equipment and/or
software.
Marketing innovation:
A new marketing method involving significant changes in
product design or packaging, product placement, product promotion or pricing.
Organisational innovation:
A new organisational method in business practices,
workplace organisation or external relations.

Indonesia Resmi Operasikan Pabrik Garam Farmasi Pertama
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Pabrik Garam Farmasi I di Watudakon, Jombang, Jawa Timur yang merupakan pabrik bahan baku obat pertama di Indonesia mulai beroperasi pada 8 Desember 2016. Pabrik ini merupakan dikembangkan bersama oleh Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT) dan PT Kimia Farma.
Kepala BPPT Unggul Priyanto mengatakan bahwa spesifikasi garam farmasi ini sangat lah tinggi. Karenanya tidaklah mengherankan bila harganya bisa berkali lipat dibanding garam rakyat. "Hal ini yang mendorong BPPT mengembangkan inovasi garam farmasi yang 100 persen berbahan dasar lokal. Perlu keberanian bagi industri farmasi untuk memproduksi ini, dan PT Kimia Farma telah mewujudkannya dengan berdirinya pabrik garam farmasi pertama di Indonesia," ujar dia.
