STUDENT’S LEARNING OUTCOME IN LEARNING ACCOUNTING

COURSE BY GENDER (A CASE STUDY ON CLASS X ACCOUNTING STUDENTS IN SMKN IN RANGKASBITUNG)

ABSTRACT

The study of the impact of Student’s internal factors towards their learning

outcome in learning accounting with Gender as the moderating variable was done in SMKN 1 Rangkasbitung and SMKN 2 Rangkasbitung, at Accounting Class X batch 2014/2015. The internal factors that were observed are learning interest, learning motivation, and learning behavior. This study is aimed to know the impact of learning interest, learning motivation, and learning behavior toward

student’s learning outcome with gender as the moderating variable. The sample in this study was the population of 273 students, which consisted of 87 male students and 186 female students. The method that was used was survey method with quantitative approach. The collecting data tool used questionnaire. The test for the hypothesis used was multiple linear regression analysis, with validity test for the multiple linear regression (F-test) and the validity test for Regression coefficient (T-test), meanwhile to know the gender as the moderating variable, Chow test was done. The result of F -test shows the regression is valid and the T-test from the first hypothesis T-test results in the value for learning interest is 2,847 and t-table 1,968. Because of tcalculate> ttable, which is 2,847 > 1,968, so H0 is

rejected and HA is accepted. That means the learning interest affects students’

learning outcome. The result of the second Hypothesis test about the impact of motivation is tcalculate> ttablewhich is 2,208> 1,968, so H0 is rejected and HA is

accepted. It means that learning motivation affects students’ learning outcome. The last hypothesis test was about learning behavior. The result is tcalculate> ttable,

which is 5,051> 1,968, so H0 is rejected and HA is accepted, which means that

learning behavior affects students’ learning outcome. The next test was the test of gender as the moderating variable using Chow test. According to Chow test result, Fcalculate is 1,16 and Ftable is 2,64. Thus Fcalculate< Ftable, so the gender is not
