:MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

ON COOPERATION

JN EDUCATION AND TRAINING

BETWEEN

THE GOVERNMENT OF AUSTRALIA

AND

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF iNDONESIA

The Government of Australia and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia

(hereinafter referred to as

"the Parties''),

Recognisi11g the importance of scienli.tic research and teclmological development,

Stressing the importmce of

education

and

training

in

national

deve1opment

wider

the framework of the Australia-Indonesia Ministerial forum,

!11tc::m.li11g Lu ｳｕｴＺｵｧｴｨｾｮ＠ and broaden cooperation and mutual assistance in the

provi$10n of ｲＮ､ｮ｣ＺｾｴＱｯｮ＠ ｾｮ､＠ training

in

their respective countries, and extending

and succeeding the Memorandwn of

Understanding

on Cooperation in

Education

and Training signed b;' the Parties on 17 November 1992,

Have reached the following

understandings:

GENERAL

OBJECTIVES

1. This Memorandum of Understanding provides the frarnework within which

detailed proposals for programs of cooperation in education and training are to be

jointly considered between the Parties on the basis of reciprocity and mutual

benefit.
