Midwifery education is integrated in the nursing programmes in countries like Bhutan, DPR Korea, India, Nepal and Thailand. In some countries like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, midwifery education is offered to those who have already completed Diploma in Nursing. Countries such as Indonesia and Myanmar offer a separate programme in midwifery.
