SUMMARY
Khotaman Nafsah (0210430039-43). Influence of Tempe Liquid Waste Application on Nitrogen, Phosphor Residues and Uptake, Growth and also Production of Mustard Green (Brassica juncea L.) at Andisol Cangar Batu. Supervisor: Yulia Nuraini and Retno Suntari
Industry of tempe is one of the solid and liquid waste producer. So far, the solid or liquid waste has been used for cattle feed. The development production capacities increased the amount of waste, that can generate the problem of environment contaminate, because it still have protein compounds which is taken by bacterium, so that need the existence of management. It could have been used more useful like using it as alternative liquid organic fertilizer.
The aims of this research is to study the effect of liquid waste on N, P residues and uptake on Andisol and to study the effect of liquid waste to mustard growth and production.
The research was conducted in the glass house and Soil Chemistry Laboratory of Soil Departement Brawijaya University, from August 2006 to October 2006 using Complete Randomized Design (CRD) within 9 treatments and 3 repetitions equivalent to 100 kg N/ha. There are control (100% pure water), D100 (100% Soaked liquid waste), D75A25 (75% Soaked liquid waste + 25% pure water), D50A50 (50% Soaked liquid waste + 50% pure water), D25A75 (25% Soaked liquid waste + 75% pure water), R100 (100% Boiled waste liquid), R75A25 (75% Boiled waste liquid + 25% pure water), R50A50 (50% Boiled waste liquid + 50% pure water) and R25A75 (25% Boiled waste liquid + 75% pure water). Data were analyzed statistically using F test at 5% level and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test at 5%. To know the relationship between variables was obserbed used correlation.
The results show that tempe liquid waste application have a significant effect to the content residues of soil N and P, plant height, leaf wide and fresh weight of mustard. On 100% tempe liquid waste concentration increased residues of N and P, growth and production of mustard plant than other concentration. There are positive correlation among N residu with N uptake ( r= 0,65 ), P residu and P uptake ( r= 0,63 ). N and P uptake have a positive correlation with leaf count ( r= 0,32; r= 0,39 ), leaf wide ( r= 0,54; r= 0,57 ), plant height ( r= 0,43; r= 0,64 ), and mustard fresh weight ( r= 0,47; r= 0,48).
