4 ABSTRACT
THE EFFECT OF WORK HOURS AND SERVICE
TO THE STRESS OF WORK NURSE SUNDARI MEDAN HOSPITAL
The purpose of this research was to identify and analyze the effect of work hours and job service to the work stress nurse Sundari Medan hospital. The type of this research was associative research. The population this research is part of medical nurse amounted to126 people.
Taking sample in this research using simple random sampling because taking of a samples from population with random without to existing strata in the population. Methods of data collectionin this research list of question, study documentation, and interview. Methods of data analysis using quantitative descriptive method and multiple linear regression analysis.
The result research showed that variable work hours have positive effect and significant to the stress work nurse Sundari Medan hospital. as partially that variable hours of work have a dominant campare services variable. the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.612 mean 61.2% of work stress variables described by the variable hours of work and services and the remaining 38.8% can be explained by other variables that are not described in this research.
