A. Research Findings
2. Material of Teaching Speaking Skill through Animation Video
to the students. She mentioned that after the process of teaching and learning activity, the students have to be able to mention the expressions of shopping and it uses, and able to practice a kind of expression with the right pronunciation in a real conversation.71
In addition, the goals were also written in the lesson plan that after participating the class, students are hoped to be able to: a) mention a kind of shopping expressions, b) Differ the use of some shopping expressions, c) Practice the expressions well in a real shopping conversation72.
Based on the interviews, observations and documents review, researcher concluded that the teaching goals in the implementation of teaching speaking skill through animation video at fifth grade of MI Tarbiyatul Islam were: 1) students are able to mention a kind of expressions explained in a speaking class clearly, 2) students are able to differ some expressions used in some different context well, 3) students are able to practice the expressions fluently in the class with their partner and in the real life with people around them as well.

Mrs, Novi said:
“This book is given by the school for students. Its materials matched the main and basic competency of class five for English subject. I used this book for my teaching every time. And from this book, I explain the vocabulary and grammar related to the material being discussed in the class”.73
She also combined the material in the book with internet source, she used web page (www.jagoanbahasainggris.com) to add the definition of the material and the examples. She briefly said:
“I also use the internet source to help me explaining about the definition.
An additional examples is also necessary for this meeting because of lack example in the book”.74
The students group interview also showed that teacher always bring the book entitled ‘Buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas V semester 2’ to the class. Teacher brought the book to help him explaining any material. Nafis said:
“Mrs. Novi always bring the book entitled ‘Buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas V semester 2’ to the class, she use the book to explain materials discussed in the class. We also have that book because that book is given by the school to us”.75
It was supported by Kamila:
“We have to bring that book every meeting, who doesn’t bring that book will be punished by teacher”.76
From these interviews, it can be concluded that the vocabularies, kind of expression, and grammar related to the material of command and request was adopted from the book entitled ‘Buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas V semester 2’ pages

23-25. The book explanation was also combined by the explanation on internet source to enrich the definition and example about command and request.
The other meeting was about shopping class, researcher also found that the material given by the teacher was adopted from study guidelines book entitled
‘Buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas V semester 2’. Teacher said:
“Every single page of this book contain the material that I have to explain to the students. For example, these pages (17 and 18) contain the vocabulary used in shopping, some expressions related to shopping expression and the example of daily conversation”. 77
Mrs. Novi briefly added:
“In these pages, the expressions is about to ask cost, to ask availibility of product and to respond a buyer when the students became a seller”.78 Researcher concluded from interview that the material of shopping was provided at pages 17-18, include of it the shopping expressions, vocabularies, conversation, and some images. The expressions contain the way to ask the availability of product, ask the cost and respond a buyer. In a conversation section, the page showed some conversation related to the conditions found at shopping areas. Lastly, images help student to imagine the way to utter the expressions.
The additional materials were adapted from Youtube animation video brought by Mrs. Novi herself as a learning media to teach speaking. Teacher adapted the way of uttering the words and speaking fluency from animation video because there is no the section of both utterance and fluency in the book. The book contains only two material of speaking; grammar and vocabulary. Teacher said:

“Because the books I used to copy the material contain no fluency and utterance section as well, I adapted them from the media I used to teach, that’s animation video. And honestly, I choose to bring animation videos to the class just only to teach my students the way to utter the word correctly and train them to speak fluently”.79
It is supported by interview to the students, Rizki said:
“Yes, we also learn from animation video that showed in the class. Mrs.
Novi order us to repeat the sentence on animation video as well as the speakers talk. We have to imitate the voice of speaker correctly, sometimes it needs more than one time trial”.80
The statement was supported by Nafis, she stated:
“I agree with that. Mrs. Novi usually pause the video and order us to repeat the sentence”.81
Researcher concluded from interviews that the material of teaching speaking skill through animation video was also adapted from Youtube animation video. Teacher adapted the way to utter the words and to speak fluently from animation video.
The data gathered from interviews was supported by observation, researcher watched that teacher enter the class bringing a guidelines book entitled
‘Buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas V semester 2’. In the class the students have been already prepared this book on the table. This book was then opened by teacher and students at discussion process. The written material on the book was explained by teacher little by little. Researcher also noted that while showing the animation video, teacher at the same time ordered the students to watch the video and oftentimes paused the video ordering students to repeat the sentences as well as the speakers talk. So, the students try to repeat the sentences orally.

Moreover, The lesson plan also viewed that the learning sources used in teaching speaking skill through animation video were book entitled ‘Buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas V semester 2’ and internet source. The teaching media was animation video which also contain the material discussed in the class.
Based on the data gathered from interviews, observations and documents review, it was concluded that the material of teaching speaking skill through animation video are; (1) command and request and (2) shopping. The discussion of vocabulary and grammar was adopted from book entitled ‘Buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas V Semester 2’ that matched with main competency and basic competency of class five elementary school, especially for English subject. The way to utter the words and to speak fluently was adapted from animation video.
An additional explanation is also adapted by teacher from internet source.
