3. Overcoming Difficulties in Writing Narrative Text At SMAN 2 Ponorogo

The overcome students' difficulties in writing narrative text at SMAN 2 Ponorogo. Then the role played by students and teachers must follow what is planned. Among the ways, students overcome difficulties in writing narrative text.

Based on the data above, the interview result showed that overcoming students' difficulties in writing narrative text from the teacher and the student's statement.

There are several results of interviews with the teacher to overcome difficulties in writing narrative text:

a. Improve the students to overcome difficulties in Writing

The teacher equips students with good grammar concepts, motivating students to like Writing, suggesting students write from the easiest/most specific and most enjoyable things, and encouraging students to share with other friends.

b. Motivation to overcome difficulties in writing narrative text

Enjoy writing because writing is a significant thing in life. If you have difficulty, start writing from the simplest things. Write things/stories that are interesting in your life and funny anywhere and anytime. Practice writing as often as possible. Practice makes perfect.

c. The teacher uses methods to increase students’ creativity

There are several methods the teacher uses to teach and learn in writing narrative text: writing through questions, writing through pictures, picture sequence, and one day one English sentence.

d. The teacher improves vocabulary mastery for the students

There are several ways the teacher can improve vocabulary mastery for the students: the first must be practiced every day, the second must be used in everyday communication, and the third is to provide exercises. For example, quizzes, and puzzles, the fourth play charades, the fifth use word definitions to enrich vocabulary, and the last play Scrabble, etc.

From the data and theory, the researcher analyzed that the overcome of students' difficulties in writing the narrative text was it consist with Bryne and Hasan, Marzuki's construction theory that the overcome the students' difficulties that occurred, the teacher improves students' knowledge skills, motivation to overcome difficulties in writing, Strategies/methods do the

teachers usually use to increase creativity and how the teacher improves vocabulary for the students.

There are several result interviews from the students to overcome difficulties in writing narrative text:

a. The students overcome difficulties in writing narrative text

The students have difficulty, especially in grammar, because of the grammar, and they ask people who understand (teachers or friends who can). Sometimes they ask for help from an English application to know the correct grammar. And most of the students practice a lot and explore variations of words or narrative text, then remember to re-evaluate it.

b. Grammatical correction from the teacher improves students' knowledge skills

The students state it’s significant for correction from the teacher to improve knowledge skills about writing because the correction can direct how the pronunciation and grammar are correct and how they are wrong.

c. Increasing reading can improve vocabulary skills

The students state that increasing reading significantly improves vocabulary skills because many words are not yet known, so you become familiar with and learn these words.

d. Strategies/methods the teachers usually use to increase creativity The students state several strategies/methods are used in the classroom, including visual listening practice; usually, the teacher tells us to write down our experiences or dreams and fantasies. Games, read

a lot, learn a lot of vocabulary, listen to songs, often listen to stories in English, etc.

e. The students practice writing narrative text

For some of the students at school, the task given by the teacher is to write Indonesian narrative text and change it to English. The students rarely practice writing because they are interested in something other than narrative text. And other students don't like to make narrative text.

From the data and theory, the researcher analyzed that the overcome of students' difficulties in writing the narrative text was it consist with Bryne's that occurred grammatical correction from the teacher improves students' knowledge skills, Increasing reading can improve vocabulary skills, increasing creativity, and the students practice writing narrative text.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION A. Conclusions

There are some conclusion can be describe as follows:

1. The students’ difficulties in writing narrative text at SMAN 2 Ponorogo. The researcher found the students need some help in writing narrative text, there are several difficulties in writing: the first grammar, such as Misuse of tense consists 68,6%. Subject-verb agreement 51,4% of the students have struggled to determine the subject and verb in writing. Article 45,7% of students have.

Word order consisted 51,4% of the students. Sentence pattern consists 5,3% of students. Types of sentences consist 57% of students. The second vocabulary consists of 65,7% of students. The third Handwriting 57,1% of students. The fourth Spelling consists 54,3% of students. And the last punctuation and layout 57% of the students.

2. The factors cause the students’ difficulties in writing narrative text. The result of the interview and questionnaire showed the causes of students’ difficulties in writing narrative text, such as : the first is the nature of writing. The second ack learners’ motivation. Third is Inadequate time. The fourth lack of practice and the last is teachers’ feedback.

3. Overcoming Difficulties in Writing Narrative Text. The result of the interview and questionnaire showed the students overcome difficulties in writing narrative text, such as: Improving the students to overcome difficulties in writing. Grammatical correction from the teacher improves students knowledge skills. Increasing in reading can improve vocabulary skills.
