This research aims to analyze the multicultural dimension in the teaching materials of English textbooks for 11th grade senior secondary school students appearing in Bahasa Inggris Textbook, Pathway to English Textbook and Bahasa Inggris Textbook. The finding of this research showed that among the narrative texts found in the English textbooks of Kosgoro Sekampung Senior Secondary School, East Lampung, it raised morale.

Textbook
The textbook is part of the learning process. 8 The textbook becomes the most obvious and most common form of material support for the implementation of language lessons. 9. In addition, the researcher asked 4 participants to measure the feasibility of the content in the textbook and the perception of multicultural education through a questionnaire and an interview. The result of this analysis showed phenomena of multicultural dimension in the textbook, which are presented in table 4.1.
Fenomena terkait yang ditemukan pada tabel di atas terdiri dari nama Indonesia (Sarah, Tuti, Nina, Bayu, dll), daerah (Jakarta, Semarang, Surakarta dan Ledokombo), budaya (Gotong Royong), Ideologi Indonesia (Pancasila), Nasional lagu (Rayuan Pulau Kelapa) dan bahasa Indonesia (Bedah Kampung, Gerakan Seribu Rupiah dan Panah Asmara). Fenomena terkait yang terdapat pada tabel di atas terdiri dari nama Indonesia (Perdana, Amelia, Seanu Prabu, dll), daerah (Minangkabau, Jakarta, Bandung, Papua dan lain-lain), budaya (Rumah Gadang) dan bahasa (Indonesia dan Tebu ireng) . ). Guru sangat membutuhkan beberapa contoh aspek multikultural yang terutama ada pada diri siswa.

In addition, to enrich the data findings, the multicultural dimensions in the textbook were explained based on the results of the above interview. Based on the above data, the feasibility of the content in the text should emphasize many aspects. Accordingly, the researcher focused his research on analyzing the multicultural dimension presented in the textbooks and the feasibility of the content in the text.

The first edition of this book was published by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan), Jakarta in 2014. This student's book was prepared and reviewed by various teams under the coordination of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan), and is used in the early stages of the application of Curriculum 2013. Bahasa Inggris Textbook is intended for the second semester of 11th grade students of Senior High School.
The English language learning presented in this book is structured to improve language skills. The presentations in this book use a text-based learning approach, both oral and written, by positioning English as a communication tool. And this book presents ideas in the form of a text that is easy to understand, the meaning of its content.23.
Pathway to English Textbook is intended for second semester students of the 11th grade of Senior High School. This textbook has the same title as the above textbook, but it is written by a different author and has different chapters. This book contains basic English competences (listening, speaking, writing and reading) that must be mastered by students.

The third dimension is reduction of bias that describes the lessons and activities in the learning process. This picture showed some phenomena in the text above, such as "Rumah Gadang and Minangkabau". The dimensions found in the textbooks were content integration, knowledge construction process and bias reduction.
The purpose of this interview was to know the teacher's perception of the other dimensions that were not found in the textbooks. In the learning process, we used Bahasa Indonesia to communicate with each other and to meet the students' different background culture. The other dimension such as equality pedagogy and strengthening school culture and social structure was not found in the textbook at all.
Also, based on the questionnaire conducted by the researcher, it can be concluded that most of the respondents agreed that the feasibility of the content in the textbook was influenced by several aspects: the importance of the text, the types of texts, the function of the textbook, the teaching aspect. of the textbook, the concept of multicultural education and the dimension of multicultural education. In accordance with the findings of the multicultural dimension found in the textbook, the result of the interview shows that all respondents apply the concept of multicultural knowledge in their learning process. The feasibility of the content in the textbooks is influenced by several aspects: the importance of the text, the types of texts, the function of the textbook, the teaching aspect of the textbook, the concept of multiculturalism.

Furthermore, the Bahasa Inggris Textbook is intended for the second semester of the 11th grade high school student. And, this book presents ideas in text form that is easy to understand the meaning of its content.
Pathway to English Textbook is intended for second semester students of the 11th grade of Senior High School. Pathway to English Textbook contains a series of new four skills and three level senior high series that provide stimulating and diverse language learning experiences. The features of this textbook include a genre-based approach: encouraging students to use different types of text, meaningful activities: motivating students to use English in real life, extensive reading: encouraging discussion and promoting classroom communication and character building : exposing students to different moral values.
This textbook has the same title as the textbook mentioned above, but it is written by different scholars and has different chapters. The Bahasa Inggris textbook is intended for the second semester of 11th grade students of senior secondary school. This book contains four basic skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading) that must be mastered by students.

Textbook also includes the educational content such as language content, English proficiency, topic, subject content, social value and content feasibility. As primary data, the data was run through three English textbooks for high school 11th grade students, namely Bahasa Inggris Textbook, Pathway to English Textbook and Bahasa Inggris Textbook. 118 phenomena of multicultural education were found in three textbooks that could be divided into multicultural dimensions.

Dalam teks di atas terdapat beberapa kejadian seperti "Bedah Desa, Gotong Royong, Ledokombo, Tanoker, Gerakan Seribu Rupee dan Pancasila". Latihan ini menunjukkan beberapa kejadian dalam kalimat di atas, seperti "Karawang, Bekasi, Cianjur, Sumbawa, Bima, Tanjung Priok, Jakarta dan Rupiah". Pertanyaan tentang budaya digunakan responden untuk mengukur pengetahuan siswa tentang keragaman budaya.
Based on the data above, all the respondents had different ways to meet the students who had different background culture. Textbook was used for study in the classroom and self-study tool for students at home. Teacher had to adapt the concept of multicultural education with the competence of students' knowledge.
Interpretation
However, few teachers disagreed that the textbook may be used regardless of the competence of the student's knowledge (75%), the textbook basically only helps the teacher in the learning process (50%), and the teacher may use the textbook without teaching multicultural insights (75% ).
Limitation
In teaching materials, there are only a few cultures that serve as textbook material. To enrich students' knowledge of multicultural knowledge, teachers use a variety of teaching strategies to facilitate students' academic achievement. Teachers help students understand, be aware of, and appreciate cultural diversity.
In order to improve the quality of the teaching process, teachers should include more cultures in English learning so that students become more motivated to improve their English skills. Teachers should also use a textbook that is relevant to the curriculum and supports the needs of the students. In this way, the teacher can create a good learning situation in the class and help the students to develop multicultural insight.
As for the publisher, in the creation and development of English textbook is based on Core Competence (KI) and Basic Competence (KD) in the latest curriculum. After fully analyzing the findings, the phenomena of the multicultural dimension are found in the teaching materials of English texts, but the number of phenomena is still lacking. Last but not least, schools have played their part to empower students from different racial, cultural, gender and ethnic groups. From the summary of the feasibility of the content in the textbooks, it can be seen that most of the respondents agree.
