There are many approaches to analyzing literature, one of which is character analysis; examines how to analyze conflict in film. The conflict in the film is also interesting because, first of all, the conflict is one of them, it is not a builder of working literature related to figures, plot and environment, which are partly not part of literary works. The specialty of this course is the analysis of the dialogue with the conflict of the main characters.
The higher the age development, the higher the technology, as well as the film. This film holds a prominent position as a pre-Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner. The importance of this analysis is to increase the literary understanding in terms of literary works and characters through the film and to describe the depiction of conflict in the film "1917".
To increase the readers and the researcher knowledge about the character, the main character and a minor character in the movie. To help the next researcher or the students of the English Department to understand conflict in the movie.

Being believable does not mean that all the characters are like people we know, but that they are believable in the context of the story. Minor characters can be defined as supporting characters of the main characters whose function is to shed light on the main characters. The following are some literatures that are used as reference in this thesis research, the first one is the result of the research of Department of English Letters and Faculty of Humanities of State Islamic University "Syarif Hidayahtullah" in Jakarta, namely Faisal, year 2011, entitled "Analysis Main Character in the movie Bruce Almighty, viewed from Costa and McCrae's theory of personality traits” The researcher focused on the main character and the characterization of Bruce Nolan as the main character.
The researcher has the title 'An analysis of the main character in Michael Apted's film Amazing Grace' from 2011. Third, Hermina Napitupulu, the researcher has the title 'An analysis of the conflicts of the main characters in Nathaniel Hawthorne's novel' THE SCARLET LETTER” in the year 2009. The researcher focused on the main character conflict. The purpose of this research is to find the type of conflict that exists in the main character in the movie “1917”.
The success in understanding the main character and the conflict in the film would be of great help to the readers in understanding the story of the film itself. This is very interesting to analyze because the readers easily understand the meaning of the main character's conflict.

Data presentation refers to the process of simplifying data in the form of sentences, narratives, or tables. When presenting data, the researcher describes the data. by.tabulating.the.types.of.the.conflict.of.the.main.characters.in.the.table. In this chapter, the theme analysis has been explored in depth with the example of the main character's narration and dialogue in "1917". William Schofield and Tom Blake are to convey orders to withdraw from the war to the second battalion of the Devonshire Regiment, which is in General Erinmore's battle-front.
The second, In this case, there are two types of conflicts in the conversation below, namely internal conflict and external conflict, but here I will only discuss the internal part of the conflict.
