Research Approach
Based on the results of the documentation done by the researcher on SMK Negeri 2 Metro, it can be obtained that the Secondary Vocational School 2 Metro (SMK); was opened in 1972 under the name Pioneer Technical Middle School (STM) and then renamed as Metro State Agricultural Technical High School (SMT) in 1978 and then again changed to Vocational High School 2 Metro (SMK) based on ministerial decree no. 036/O/1997 on changing the nomenclature of SMKTA to SMK and on the organization and working procedures of SMK. Students' total scoring errors in the writing task based on the surface strategy taxonomy.
