Objectives: This course studies the physical, chemical and biological properties of agricultural materials in general. Discussion in more detail about the

physical, chemical and biological properties of cereals, nuts, coffee and tea, spices, milk, meat and fish.

Knowledge: understanding on the physical, chemical and biological properties of agricultural materials in general.

Skills: cognitive – Apply the physical, chemical, and biological properties of agricultural materials in the design of agricultural equipment and in research.

Phsycomotoric - practical abilities to implement the physical, chemical, and biological properties of agricultural materials in the design of agricultural equipment and in research.

Competences: Student able to evaluate the physico-chemical properties of agricultural materials for designing processes and agricultural processing equipment

Content Courses:

1) Introduction to Agricultural Material Knowledge: geometry, shape, volume, bulk density, optical properties, physiological properties of agricultural plants and physico-chemical properties

2) Cereals: The physico-chemical and physiological properties of rice and wheat plants

3) Cereals: The physico-chemical and physiological properties of corn and shorgum plants

4) Plantation crops: The physico-chemical and physiological properties of oil palm and CPO production technology

5) Plantation crops: Coffee and cocoa and their processing technology 6) Fruits and Vegetables: The physico-chemical properties of chilies and tomatoes

7) Fruits and Vegetables: The physico-chemical properties of bananas and apples

8) Milk and dairy products 9) Milk processing technology 10) Poultry products

11) Fish and fish products 12) Meat and meat products 13) Bees and bee products Study and
