This research aims to develop storytelling materials for the English club of State Senior High School 1 Kotagajah. Regarding all aspects of the ratings, they are correct according to Aiken's V, which is higher than 0.5. After reviewing the product in accordance with the suggestions of the validators, it can be concluded that the product in this bachelor thesis will be properly used for the English Club at State High School 1 Kotagajah.

My beloved sister and my beloved grandmother who always give motivation and help for every circumstance. All praises and thanks always go to Almighty Allah, for his blessings and favors, the scholar can complete the university thesis. The researcher realizes that this research would not have been accomplished without any support and help from many helpful people.

Pd, my sponsor and advisor who always patiently guides me in the process of this bachelor's thesis. Pd as the principal who facilitates this research at 1 Kotagajah Secondary School.

Background of the Study

The English Club is one of Kotagajah State High School 1's extracurricular bases in language learning. Government High School 1 Kotagajah English Club is built by the students of the school where the students of class X and XI are the organizers of the leadership of this organization and XII is the monitor. English club programs include study and practice for each branch, as well as general meetings.

At the forum, the leader of the English club will ask the member to meet in a section. The teacher and the coordinator are the characters who play a strong role in guiding the member of the English club. English club is one of the organizations that students of State Senior High School 1 Kotagajah want to follow and storytelling is one of them.

This is compounded by the fact that not all members of the English Club of all branches, except for the story, understand the story well even the seniors (XI classes). Therefore, the researcher is designing story materials for Kotagajah State Senior High School 1 English Club so that they have instructions.

Benefit of Product

The product of this research can facilitate storytelling members to advance their knowledge, skills and abilities in performing storytelling correctly, fluently and appropriately. The design of this product is expected to provide additional learning material for other members beyond storytelling. The researcher hopes that this product will enrich knowledge and become a support material for learning English in a different way.

The researcher wants, can help the member become erudite in the application of the product. The developed materials of this research can be used for new information and reference for English club managers. It is hoped that these materials will be useful to the leaders of the English club in achieving the learning objective.

The result of this research hopefully can be used for the next researcher to organize further research related to story materials in different teaching learning tools.

Product Specification

Extracurricular Activities

Galina, Ivanova, Olga ang Logvinova describe extracurricular activity as an action that has nothing to do with academic scores and targets. Another definition of extracurricular activity is non-academic activities that took place under the auspices of the school but were carried out outside of class time. According to Annu and Sunita, extracurricular activity refers to the hustle and bustle that the school offers with time outside school compulsory (regular).

According to the above definitions, extracurricular activities can strengthen students' critical thinking when dealing with some internal or external problems and increase social maturity.7 They help students control personal life in everyday life8. According to some experts, extracurricular activities play an important role as another educational program for researching students' knowledge. The subject is beneficially complemented by the management program, which students will acquire only in extracurricular activities.

Materials Development

Alimi stated that in the local social South Sulawesi, storytelling becomes a link between the new arrivals and the residents. Because of that, storytelling is very crucial to the way people live their lives.

From some explanation reflected above, the point can be taken that storytelling refers to the fiction or non-fiction story displayed by a storyteller in a place called storyteller's stage. This is in line with the way people share a story that is meant to entertain or impart such information to the audience. Let a story in one's own words mean that a story can be written using one's own words, even though the reference refers to the intended story.

The storyteller must give purpose to the listener and provide him with a space to follow a story. It can be a photo and some goods that can be used which is related to the story. 32.

Relevant Studies

Therefore, Masyitoh conducts R&D research to make a video material as a different guide for students. The results show that this designed product gives a better impact for students to understand easy materials. 34. The purpose of this research is to identify the learning needs and design suitable materials for English conversation students of SMA N 1 Kroya.

The researcher decides to design the product to support the learning process of the club. The result of this research gives students a new way of learning to make a good conversation based on the product example. The focus of the design product depends on the needs of the schools or students.

Second, the development materials previously focused on the students based on the education of school and a club. Furthermore, the researcher is sure that it will build the students' competitive personality and intensify their confidence to be able to debate one day.

The second questionnaires will be given to the expert for judgment which is used to find out the validity of the product. To make it easier for the reader, this chapter also provides pictures that define the description of the materials. But not all tips can be properly implemented in the product in the near future.

These are about graphic design, especially about the selection of image color and the originality of the image. Not all suggestions from the validators can be applied to the product. The first, the development product, is created in accordance with the needs of the English club member, especially storytelling and up-to-date.

In addition, it is equipped with a glossary with pronunciation and image illustrating the materials. Third, the internal validity result of the development materials shows that the product is suitable as supplementary materials.
