DEGUMMING PROCESS

1. Analysis of bentonite performance on the quality of refined crude palm oil's color, free fatty acid and carotene: the effect of bentonite concentration and contact time (Ifa et al, 2021).

Research procedure:

Firstly, 100 mL of CPO was heated to 90oC. Then, 0.05 mL of 85% H3PO4 was added and stirred for 10 min. Palm oil that has gone through the degumming process is called Degummed Palm Oil (DPO).

2. Proses Pemucatan Minyak Sawit Mentah Dengan Arang Aktif (Haryono et al, 2012).

Prosedur:

H3PO4 85% sebanyak 0,5% (% berat) terhadap CPO di dalam labu leher tiga pada suhu ruang. Gum dipisahkan secara mekanik dengan sentrifugasi selama 25 menit pada kecepatan 4000 rpm. Minyak sawit hasil degumming kemudian dianalisis kadar fosfornya (sebagai representasi dari gum) dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis.
