Dear Professor,
There is a firm in the city, which wishes to do enameling on iron. Their representative has talked with me about it. They wish to know if there are any books on the subject that would be of use to them, so I write you in reference to that.
I offered to carry on experiments here if they would furnish a fritting furnace and a ball mill; so if they cannot obtain formulae elsewhere they may accept my offer. If you know of anything that would be of help in that line would you kindly let me know?
The work is wearing (?) off finely here. Have some new pottery that is very fine.
Thanking you for your trouble I remain sincerely, F. E. Walrath
