Using Wattpad to increase student reading comprehension (a pre-experimental study on seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Gantarangkeke). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Wattpad was effective in increasing reading comprehension in seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Gantarangkeke. Therefore, the wattpad can be applied to reading activities in the learning process to improve students' reading comprehension.

Therefore, in this study, the preparation of the authors' proposal focuses on testing the effectiveness of the Wattpad application based on improving students' reading comprehension. In this study, the researcher will research the effectiveness of a Wattpad application based on reading training program in improving students' reading comprehension. So Wattpad app will be more effective for students to read a novel and can help students improve their reading comprehension.

So, based on the research questions raised above, this study aims to determine the effect of wattpad application based reading training program on improving students' reading comprehension. The purpose of this study was to focus on the reading comprehension of students using Wattpad as media.

The purpose of wattpad, similar to that of Facebook, Youtube and others, is to facilitate the creation of content in order to generate interactions between users and the community. a) Benefits of Wattpad. Students ask questions to other groups who either cannot understand the content of the text based on the text. Based on the above statement, the researcher can conclude that reading is a receptive skill - through it we receive information. Conceptual Framework

The independent variable was the variable that affected or became the cause of the dependent variable. The dependent variable was the variable that affects or becomes the result of the independent variable. The researcher takes a class sample of the research, specifically the seventh grade in SMP NEGERI 2 GANTARANKEKE consisting of 30 students.

The researcher applied purposive sampling because it was the best technique to ensure representativeness of the sample from the accessible population. The purpose of the pretests was to recognize the student's ability to understand the text before addressing them. The function of the test was to know the knowledge and reading skills of the student after applying the Wattpad application.

Detection of significant difference between pre-test and post-test. calculating the t-test value. The formula explained for the difference in significance between the pre-test and the post-test was found by calculating the t-test pass. The intention of the method recognition formula was effective or not in achieving the student's creativity in the reading skills of the first semester student of the Department of English in Muhammadiyah University of Makassar.

The function of the test was to find out the student's knowledge and reading ability after using the Wattpad app. The expert compared the consequences of the control before and after the test, if the consequences of the subsequent control were higher than the best. It can be concluded that teaching reading by using wattpad on narrative has significant effect on students' reading comprehension of seventh grade students at SMP NEGERI 2 GANTARANGKEKE.

The researcher suggested that English teachers use story cards as one of the media in foreign language classes to teach reading skills in narrative texts or other genres.

From some of the above opinions, it can be concluded that in the study there were variables that were put in the focus of the research to be studied in order to get information about these issues and draw conclusions. Based on the collected data, the researcher follows the procedure as below Pre-Test to know the reading comprehension of the students before giving them a treatment. The mean score of reading students is about 71.967 on the first test with a standard deviation of 8.05563 and a standard error of 1.47038 and on the second test of 8.4 with a standard deviation of 7.32850 and a standard error of 1.33799, is given by the average score of the students who received the highest pre-test and post-test and significantly improved the average score of the pre-test after the treatment.

In light of the above explanation, it can very well be concluded that the invalid speculation (H0) was rejected, although the elective theory was recognized in the use of cycle composition of the 7th grade students at Smp Negeri 2 Gantarangkeke. Instructing the students to few minutes to find out the important point from the story using WattPad application. Call on the students one by one to retell the story based on the point they found, up to 3-4 minutes.

FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION

Discussion

Based on the results of this research, some points were presented in this work. The results of this study show that Wattpad, as a reading comprehension teaching tool, can make students feel confident and comfortable sharing their work. On the other hand, some students prefer to use used paper when studying because they do not yet have enough smartphones and access to the Internet.

On the other hand, this study also shows that some students stopped using Wattpad to learn to read because they did not have a smartphone and did not know how to use it. On the other hand, the use of technology, especially Wattpad, can solve some problems in the classroom, such as time consuming, the benefit of technology and the ability of students to absorb material in the classroom. The results of this study show that the technique used by teachers in the classroom enables students to understand the content.

The use of technology and media in the teaching and learning process can attract students' interest and motivation. Therefore, students must listen seriously and carefully to the teacher's explanations in the teaching and learning process. The author hopes that future researchers can use this study as a reference point for their research in the same field.

The teacher calls one group to one group together to answer the question, and then they draw a conclusion from the paragraph.
